*CONSTRUCTION UPDATE* 🚧
Please park up front when arriving to the hospital for either your scheduled appointment or to pick up items. When you arrive, please call or text to let us know that you are here and what parking spot/ vehicle you are in. From there, we will instruct you further. We are still curbside for the time being.

As always, thank you for your cooperation and being our teammates through this project! We’re almost to the finish line!

On Monday we smash things!

Our office manager, Carley, finally got her way (against Dr. Kasers wishes) and was handed a sledge hammer to bid a proper farewell to our old lab countertops. 🤣

We’re getting closer and closer to finishing up, and we can not wait to show you all the new facility. So many exciting things in store, stay tuned 😉

Happy Futuristic Friday 🔮
Welcome Nurse Mia! 👩‍⚕️

We’d like to introduce a very important little lady! Her name is Mia, and if you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she’ll tell you, very specifically, a nurse, NOT a doctor!

Mia got to accompany her very own good boy, Loki, to his appointment. She partnered up with her Aunt (our nursing supervisor, Briana!) and came prepared!

Not only did she have her nurse bag ready, equipped with bandages, shots, and an otoscope (all made of plastic, we promise!), but she got to listen to Loki’s heartbeat and feed him lots of treats and cheese while he got his actual vaccines 😉

Mia, we think you’re going to make the best nurse one day! Whether your patients end up having two-legs or four, theyll be the luckiest to get to be cared for by you! 🐾

Your favorite crew is here to give you a few construction updates 🦺:

🐾 while the fences are down up front, client parking is still out back! There is still extensive work being done in the front half of the building, both internally and externally!

🐾 we are remaining curbside! We currently do not have access to our exam rooms aside from our trailer, and those are used for special circumstances.

Please know we are as eager as all of you to have our new and improved facility open and functioning, but we still have a little time left in this project before that happens.

We’ve only been as successful in all of this as we are because of our amazing staff and even more amazing clients. Thank you for understanding and working with us through all of this. It takes a village and BVH has a strong one. Thank you for being our teammates through it all.

Soon we will get to enjoy all the hard work, dedication, and time that has gone into this project, and we are SO EXCITED that we get to share it all with you! 💙🐾

While Moms been a member of the fam for a while, we’re so excited to get to know Chappy and watch her grow!

Did you know today is International Awesomeness Day?

Well it is! And we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than shouting out our devoted, kind, hilarious, chaotic, (but in a coordinated way!) intelligent, hard working, truly loving staff!

Without them, Brewster Vet would be just a building. They fill it with compassion, love, laughter, and positivity, no matter the circumstances.

Every single one of them is one of a kind, like all of the goodness landed right here, at the right time, like the perfect puzzle pieces. If one was missing, the puzzle wouldn’t be complete. They make BVH what it is as a whole, and we are lucky to have such phenomenal people making up our team.

Thank you, all of you, for the things you do for our patients and our clients.

Thank you for the hours you put in.
The care you provide.
The blood, sweat, the tears (and the p**p and the p*e!).
For often putting our patients before your own pets.
From welcoming puppies and kittens, to supporting our extended BVH family through the hardships of losing our older patients, and feeling the hurt as if it was your own.

There are never enough words to truly encompass all the hard work that goes into veterinary medicine, but you all make it look easy, when we know it’s truly not.

So let’s hear it for the most awesome team on this International Awesomeness Day! You guys define awesome! 💙 🐾

Today may be the ever youthful, ever fun, ever the greatest’s birthday, but in all reality: Whether he’s leading the team at BVH, heading off a major construction project, taking care of his hobby farm, or being the best husband and father to his family, Dr. Kaser deserves to be celebrated everyday!

His contributions to his community, his team, his clients, and most importantly his patients, are immeasurable! His compassion and kindness are as big as he is! His heart? Even bigger. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing the big-guy, in whatever form, consider yourself lucky. We know we here at BVH are the luckiest 💙🐾

Our friends Walter and Parker got to meet Russell, our very own relief vet, Dr. Strattons, new pupp today!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner but Cupid didn’t have to do any work to make these three fall in love, it happened all nat-ur-al! 💘

HAPPY MONDAY! Hope you’re enjoying your morning coffee and an easy start to your work week…. Because our staff didn’t get the chance to ☕️🤣

This morning, our surgical nursing supervisor Emily, office manager Carley, and nursing supervisor Briana surprised staff with an unexpected CPR DRILL! ❗️

Half asleep (and semi annoyed when they noticed the person at the back door was Carley with our CPR dummy) our staff jumped into action working together to perform CPR on our patient who presented with trouble breathing.

CSRs answered the call and alerted the team who quickly rushed to grab the patient. From there, they formed a line with Emily leading and instructing staff on what to do. Staff took turns performing chest compressions, while other staff members hooked up oxygen and intubated the patient, and placed an intravenous catheter to have instant vein access in order to be able to administer emergency drugs.

CPR is a team effort and no CPR is effective without all teammates communicating.

Thanks to their quick efforts, our patient survived and is thriving, ready to test staff during the next drill 😉

In addition to hands on drills, Briana put on her teacher hat (a hat she wears well) and designated morning rounds solely to CPR for the month of January, covering everything from the basics to the fundamentals, as well as ensuring recertification for our tech staff.

Let’s hear it for team BVH - a team that is always learning and improving so we can continue to provide the gold standard of care to our “paw-tients” 🐾

We now interrupt the saw cutting and hammering to bring you our construction updates 🚧

🦺 First, the most important: We know you all miss seeing the Big Man, the legend, Dr. Kaser! While he is forced to put on his ownership hat 🧢 and cut back on appointments (literally forced, the man would rather be in appointments 24/7 like he has been for the past 20+ years. Seriously, sick, not taking vacation time, we all know that the man is a machine!) please rest assured that he will be back in action in more appointments as soon as we have the project streamlined! It is not easy owning a small business and doing a renovation project, but Dr. Kaser sure makes it look effortless, especially when he wears the good old pink construction hat! 😉

🦺 The front of our building is coming along nicely! If you don’t have an upcoming appointment, take a drive by and take a p*ek 👀

🦺 Client parking is still in our back parking lot. When you arrive, please pull around back and give the office a call to let us know why you’re here! From there, our staff will let you know the next steps!

🦺 We will have separate phases for the project. We are still on phase one, and will update you all as the project progresses on what the next steps will be, stay tuned!

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to you all. You’ve worked along side us to make sure we are able to stay fully open and functional through this project, something we said we would do since day 1 of the project! It has its hiccups, but because of you we’ve been able to make the process as easy as possible, providing the excellent care we pride ourselves on!

We cannot wait to have this newer facility not only to match our top notch, 5-star, big hearted, compassionate staff, but for you and our patients!

2025 is going to be something great! 🐾

In all seriousness, we love a happy patient with a wiggle-butt, but we have to admit Mackerel stole the show with his tail wags! We all feel pretty successful that he was so happy to see us!
