2015-2017: To avoid confusion in the community, after HSEC no longer held municipal contracts for animal services, we changed our name to Souls On Board Rescue Ride because we were a foster based rescue engaging in primarily pulling dogs from high euthanasia shelters in the panhandle and transporting them to high adoption demand areas in other parts of the country.

2004-2015: HSEC is a non-profit

animal welfare organization who handles animal services for Escambia County. In order to save as many lives as possible, we promote adoptions at Petsmart-Pensacola, Petco-Pensacola, and Petsmart in Pace, FL. We are also actively engaged in transferring adoptable puppies and dogs to shelters in more urban areas who have a demand for adoptable animals that they can not meet in their community. We are more than happy to work with reputable rescues nation wide, and we also adopt out of state to approved applicants.
