Sheep Adopts Beauty the calf

This is Beauty, our little abandoned calf (her first-time mother rejected her). We bottle feed her but one of our ewe that had a stillborn lamb has adopted her and lets her get some extra milk. She lets her nurse all during the day. It’s amazing to us how God sends different mamas to help raise his creations.

This is a field of UF Riata Bahia grass that we planted on Legacy Acres. This is the second year of production. Early count is averaging 7.5 rolls per acre. We are so excited with the new variety of Bahia grass. Here at Legacy Acres we are striving to improve not only our grazing and hay production but the new genetics to our cow/calf operation.
