Please send prayers for Martha Mosley and her pup (who i am unsure if also injured). She is a very dear person who has done a lot for the dog community. 🙏🙏🙏

On February 28, 2025, at approximately 3:51pm officers of the Manchester Township Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Tuckerton Avenue and Pershing Avenue for the report of a pedestrian struck. Upon arrival, officers observed a white 2014 Toyota Corolla parked on the side of the road with damage to the front end and windshield of the vehicle, and a female pedestrian on the ground within the intersection. The driver of the Toyota was identified as 45-year-old, Karla Carrizales of Manchester, NJ who was uninjured from the crash. The female pedestrian was identified as 77-year-old, Martha J. Mosley of Whiting, NJ, was medevac to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ with severe injuries to the entirety of her body and is currently listed in critical condition.

The crash investigation revealed that the Toyota was traveling west on Pershing Ave. Martha at the time of the crash was walking south on Tuckerton Ave. attempting to cross the roadway with her dog. The Toyota impacted Martha within the intersection with the front end of the vehicle. After initial impact Martha was thrown approximately twenty feet and came to final rest on the roadway. The Toyota after initial impact pulled over immediately and came to final rest on the right portion of Pershing Ave.

​Assisting at the scene were Fire Fighters and EMT’s from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Medical Services, Paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and NJSP South Star Air Medical Helicopter. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but at this point, sun glare and failure to yield are the primary contributing factors in the crash. This crash is being investigated by Patrolman Conner Yatauro of the Manchester Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.

Nothing breaks our hearts more than seeing a dog struggle in the shelter. After over a year in a home, Sally (formerly Cali) was returned—right before the holidays. Now, the stress of kennel life is becoming too much for her.

💔 Sally deserves better. She’s 2 ½ years old, 40 lbs, incredibly sweet, and adores people. She’s happiest as the only pet and needs an experienced adopter willing to give her the second chance she so desperately needs. A fenced yard and obedience training will help her thrive.

Hope graduated therapy today as she is flying south to Florida. She enjoyed her last UWTM session!

Bree is recovering from her chest/ lung surgery. She is 1 week post-op today from a medial sternotomy and partial lobectomy. A big thank you to all her doctors, nurses and vet techs at NorthStar Vets! They have given me my best Christmas present 💖🐾

Aslan is a very sweet boy who came in to be evaluated for lameness. Looks like he tore his ccl. We will help him get stronger and recover. 😀

Malibu graduated from therapy with flying colors! She has improved her weight bearing by 6% and has normal hip ROM. She also has improved muscle tone and is running, jumping, and playing like before her surgery! We are so happy to have helped Malibu recover and get back to having fun with her family!

Cali started rehab yesterday to recover from a torn CCL. She is a very sweet rescue who had a rough start in life as a breeding dog. We are looking forward to helping her get stronger, lose weight and get in better condition to enjoy her senior years!
