This smart, silly fella likes to place his balls under the stump so that he dig them back out. Perfect substitute for the tiny critters that have already vacated the premises.
Summary: Puma is a friendly, energetic, affectionate, and snuggly fella. He enjoys playing with toys and loves to play fetch. Puma thrives with regular exercise, including a daily park excursion with sniffing and exploring; he loves investigating the woods/streams/fields. Puma also likes to just lounge around in the yard and soak up the sun. Puma really enjoys being with his people, including laying in your lap like a cat, but he also does very well alone in his own room. He is currently living in a foster home and house-trained.
Other Dogs: Puma loves other dogs and is a bit obnoxious at first due to his excitement. He will do best with slow, well-managed introductions with other dogs that handle his antics in a playful but stern manner. Once Puma relaxes a bit, he is an enjoyable walking buddy and playmate for other dogs. He would also do great as the only dog in the household.
Background: Puma was found as a stray in Philadelphia in November 2023. His finders learned that was too enthusiastic about their cats, so he was taken to Philly ACCT. Puma was adopted for about a month, but the newborn baby in the home was allergic to him, so he was returned to ACCT in late December 2023. Puma was timestamped for euthanasia, so Northern Exposure Siberian Husky Rescue welcomed him into our foster-based rescue on 12/30/23.
Requirements: Potential adopters must live in NJ, PA, MD, DE, Long Island NY, or w/in 1-hr drive of Littleton MA; NESHR volunteers handle all transportation. Puma will need a tall fenced in yard. Siberian husky experience is also required. No kitty housemates. $400 adoption fee.

We are having some thunderstorms here today, so Kiki is keeping herself entertained inside digging toys out of the toybox.
She is doing so well with all of her training, and has now started to roam (with leash dragging) downstairs with the resident cats. She has adjusted to their activity, so she generally stays calm and simply watches; she mostly enjoys grooming the cats that hang out near her.
She is SO smart, and has nearly mastered 'leave it', 'stay', 'easy', and 'no' - but she is still a young, playful Husky, so she has some moments! Her 'sit' & 'paw' are flawless, though!

Puma loves you already and he hasn’t even met you!! Are you in need of a daytime adventurer and a nighttime couch potato? Puma would be happy to apply for that role! Puma loves to run and would make an excellent jogging partner or someone who takes long walks with. He does need a secure yard with a high fence, but his long legs make Puma a very handsome boy who receives lots of compliments! He will want to spend time with his family, so someone home for part of the day would be a great match. Puma can be a happy boy as the only pet in the home. If you can give him what he needs, then you’ll have a loyal friend for life.
