💔This past week, I’ve been gathering my emotions after the passing of one of our beloved dogs, Copper.

🐾He wasn’t just a part of our Doggie Zen Den family. He became part of our personal family as well.

🦮Copper brought us so much joy and love into our lives. I will forever cherish the memories we shared. The long walks, the snuggles, his goofy expressions, and the proud way he carried himself.

❤️He had this special way of being by my side, whether I was cooking in the kitchen, working in my office, or simply relaxing and watching TV. Copper wasn’t just a guest. He was my sidekick, my companion, my snuggle buddy and my dear friend.🐾

✨Some may not fully understand the overwhelming sadness his passing has brought, but that is because they don’t see the depth of how we care for the dogs who come into our home.

🫶We are not just dog sitters and we are not a facility. We are a loving couple who live in a loving home where we have opened it up to dogs and their family.

🤗At Doggie Zen Den, we’welcome both families and dogs with open arms. We build genuine relationships with each dog and person that walks into our home. The love we share is unconditional because everyone deserves love and connection.

🌟Copper and I had a connection that went beyond words. It was an unspoken bond that I can only describe as pure and undeniable love.

💕Although he’s no longer physically here, his spirit will always be with me. I miss him more than words can express, but I find comfort in imagining him in a beautiful place running through fields of wildflowers, chasing birds, and basking in the warm sunlight as he did in the warmer months on our deck.

❤️🙏Copper, you will always hold a special place in my heart baby. Thank you for the joy, love, and companionship you brought into my life… into our lives.

❤️This is Frankie and she is our companion for the week.

🤗I call them companions because dogs bring us comfort as much as we are there for them.

💕Frankie is a loving girl who wants to be at my side at all times. She arrived early this morning and has been so sweet and so loving. She is exactly what I needed.

🙏We are blessed to know these dogs and have them in our lives. They bring us so much love and so much joy.

For those who know me, I wear my heart on my sleeve and when I love someone or something, I love hard.

I probably should not admit this publicly but the fact is, I am human with emotions.

We all are. It is ok to express your emotions.

💔I am sad.

One of our sweet visiting dogs is not doing well and my heart breaks for him and his family. It breaks for us too because he is an extended part of our family and we love him.

When I am in need of some love, comfort and compassion, I can always count on my daughter bringing my grand dog, Dre over to make me feel better. Dogs know when something is off with those they love.

I hold special bonds with dogs out of pure unconditional love.

It is the kind of love that is unexplainable.

It is the unspoken words and a connection through touch, eye contact and voice tone.

No wonder they are known as man’s best friend. In this case,
Hu-Man’s best friend.

Thank you Danielle for bring my girl home for the night to be with us. I love you beyond words. I needed this time with her.
