It’s fireworks season and time for a reminder in dog safety! You can never be too cautious when it comes to keeping your pets safe. Fireworks can be extremely scary and many dogs go missing this time of year. While it can be very tempting to bring your furry friend along for the celebrations, they’re safest at home - in a crate or secure room.

Jesse has moved up in the world! ✨

After 10 long months of living in a cage, she’s finally settled into Purrington Lounge, our shelter’s premier kitty suite. 🛋️😻

She’s so much happier away from the hustle and bustle of the other cats. Less stress, more playtime, and a calmer environment – exactly what this beautiful, independent girl needed.

We’re hoping her new digs bring her some much-deserved luck and finally find her the loving home she’s been dreaming of. 💛

🎉 Kayla’s Happy Ending! 🐾💕

We are over the moon to share that our sweet, spunky girl Kayla has finally found her forever home!! YAHOO! 🙌💛

Kayla was one of our longer stay pups, constantly overlooked and never given the chance she deserved. But her new mom and dad saw just how amazing she is and took a chance on her—and wow, just look at her now! 🥰

Her new name is Kaja. Read the update and swipe through these beautiful photos of Kaja living her absolute best life with her new family. 🏡❤️ She is loved, happy, and exactly where she was meant to be.

We would like to tell you that Kayla now Kaja ( sounds like Kaya) is doing great 👍🏻 she is sweet, not as vocal as we were thinking and very smart. We went for our first training ( I was sweating lol) but she did great. She loves her garden and playing there in the doggie pool or with her toys. She is a good swimmer but is taking her steps slowly now that she got her doggie swim vest and is ready to explore. She is walking on the leash really well now. She has a good appetite and loves apple slices. She likes her crate from you and the comfy blanket she adores. Kaja also has her raised day bed where daily training takes place . I would like to add some pictures of our little girl that you have raised and trusted to give to us to complete our family." - Beata & John

We posted last week that Canelo was adopted, now it’s Morro’s turn to find his happily ever after. 💛 This sweet 5-year-old chihuahua mix is still waiting patiently for someone to scoop him up. With his little sausage body and loving personality, Morro is sure to bring so much joy and laughter to his future family.
He came from a home with too many animals and is so ready for a life full of love, snuggles, and calm days ahead. 🐶💕

💔 Meet Kiki — A Survivor Who Deserves a Soft Landing 💕

Sweet senior Kiki (12yrs) came to us from an overcrowded Philly shelter, thin, matted, and in terrible pain from severe dental disease. Her time there was nearly up — simply because she needed medical care. 😿

Thanks to our amazing team, Kiki got the second chance she deserved. She had full senior bloodwork, which showed early-stage kidney disease (stage 1-2), likely from the neglect she endured. She’s now on a special K/D prescription diet and doing beautifully. 🩷

We removed her painful premolars and molars and gave her remaining “teefs” a little sparkle. And guess what? She’s so much happier and eating like a champ!

Kiki is finally feeling good — and now it’s time for her to feel loved. She deserves a warm, quiet home, gentle snuggles, and someone who sees the beauty in giving a senior cat a second chance. 🛋️✨

We’ll be testing her with other pets soon and updating her bio. But in the meantime — please apply if you can give this brave girl the retirement home of her dreams. 💕
