Delilah is not sure why she's still hanging out with her foster mom, but after nearly 2 full years in foster she is really hoping someone will take notice and bring her home. She's spayed and vetted. She would be happiest as an only cat but lives with multiple fosters now; proper introductions would be critical to success with other cats. She is sweet, loves treats and will seek out pets. She loves chasing laser pointers. Bring her home today!

Short Round is a male kitten that's about 4.5 months old. He was found on the street by a neighbor of a K's Kittens foster. His tail is short and appears to have been that way since birth. While Short Round has mixed feelings about being cuddled, he loves to play with wand toys and loves to bat balls around on the floor. This feisty boy isn't afraid of the bigger kittens in his foster's home and loves to play, so a home with another younger cat would be a good fit. Apply now for Short Round! If you're already approved please let us know you'd like a meet and greet.

On March 3, 2024 we lost our dear friend and rescue president Louise Wootton. Yesterday, on International Cat Rescue Day, we held a Tardi Gras to mark the anniversary of her passing. (Tardi Gras was an event she and her husband would host for friends and coworkers, it is a late Mardi Gras celebration - hence the name.) We would like to extend our thanks to everyone connected to yesterday's event, especially Senza Cucina for doing an amazing job with the food, the Toms River Elks for the hall, DJ Josh for the music, everyone who helped at the event, and of course everyone who attended the event. Thank you for coming out to honor Louise. I know she was up there in heaven looking down smiling, seeing so many gathered to honor of her memory and in honor of the rescue that she loved so much. We are committed to continuing to do our best to make her and ourselves proud. We hope we can continue to be blessed with your support.

365 days ago, on March 3, 2024, our dear friend and rescue president Wootton was unexpectedly called up to heaven to wrangle all of their cats. During the past year K's has done its very best to honor her work, her efforts and her vision. The rescue would not have made it through the past year without the help and support of many people. We would like to extend our thanks to our families and loved ones, all fosters, vet techs and veterinarians, adopters, donors, supporters and volunteers. We could not have survived the past year without you. I know Louise is up in heaven and appreciates every bit of support we have been given. K's is going to keep working hard to make Louise and ourselves proud. K's will continue forward and we hope we can continue to be fortunate enough to have your support.

ONE OF K'S AWESOME FOLLOWERS HAS GENEROUSLY OFFERED TO COVER PART OF THE ADOPTION FEE FOR CINNAMON AND SPICE IF THE PAIR IS ADOPTED TOGETHER WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH. Cinnamon (m) and Spice (f) are tabby siblings. The pair is a little over 1 year old and they have spent almost their entire life in rescue. The siblings have thrived in their foster home. These two cats are good with kids, cats, & bunnies. They seek affection and love to play with pom poms, string toys, and laser beams. They may startle with sudden movements (like so many people) but they quickly resume a relaxed stance. The pair is good mannered and easy going. If they become frightened they might hide for a little bit but are never aggressive. This pair is spayed and neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go. These siblings are bonded and need to stay together so we are only considering applications to adopt them together. If you're looking for a pair of cats and want to skip the tiny kitten antics, please apply for Cinnamon and Spice today! If you're already approved please let us know you'd like a meet and greet.

Tuesday is a 6+ month old light brown tabby girl that was rescued from a city street after someone attempted to drown her. She is still skittish but she is making progress as her foster mom is working to teach her that she is safe and loved. Tuesday appears to have RBF (resting B-face) but plays with the other foster kittens and with toys and loves to sleep in the sun. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative. Please apply to adopt Tuesday today! If interested and already approved please let us know you'd like a meet and greet.

Happy Friday! Today I'd like to highlight one of the cats currently in foster - Tiramisu. Tiramisu is a beautiful boy that was dumped at the Brick Petco in January. Petco asked K's to step in as they knew things would end badly for him if he was sent to the shelter. Tiramisu has been to our vet for an exam and bloodwork, gotten a rabies and been medically cleared. The vet told us that Tiramisu is a neutered boy that's somewhere around 2 years old. Tiramisu tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Tiramisu has proven to be a good boy in his foster home. He likes attention, especially butt scratches. If you'd like to be the one to show Tiramisu what a real loving furever home is like and provide a lifetime of butt scratches, please apply. If already approved please let us know you'd like a meet and greet.

It's Wishlist Wednesday! What we need the most right now is FOSTERS AND VOLUNTEERS. We have babies now and more are coming. Despite the fact last year's kitten season never ended, this year’s kitten season is underway. Yesterday we were unable to help 2 litters because we do not have enough fosters overall and we don't have anyone available to foster a nursing mom. We need fosters or we can't help nearly as many as we would like to help or as many as people ask us to help. It's simple. Without fosters we cannot help kittens. We pay all expenses. Without volunteers to lend a paw doing things like review applications we simply don't have enough manpower to do things efficiently. Besides those two things, we could also use GE**ER BABY FOOD AND SHEBA PERFECT PORTIONS PATE for babies transitioning to food and FANCY FEAST KITTEN for the kittens ready for that. We appreciate you and are grateful for your support of K’s Kitten Rescue through shopping our wishlists (linked below), donating, fostering, volunteering, sharing our posts, and of course adopting - they all help us do what we do. We could not and can not do this without you, and we thank you.

K’s Kitten Rescue

We are a cat and kitten rescue in Brick, NJ. While we operate as a non-profit, we don’t yet have our 501c3 status, but we are working on it and hope to have it soon. Our rescue works within the community to help finders trap and neuter momma cats and to socialize and rehome their babies. We also help families who must, for one reason or another, rehome their feline companions. We fully vet all our animals, and run vet and home checks on adopters. Our adoption fee is $125, which covers some of the costs of the vet services we provide. The remaining costs are covered by donations of money, food and litter from our supporters. Please consider donating to help support our work. https://www.paypal.me/kskittenrescue
