Heidi Hurst has been on this farm since she was 11. She just graduated WVU and got a little 6 year old gelding graduation present!! Her first horse all her own. Welcome "Stylish CRUSH" to the Kross Kreek Kritter mix!

The worst part about this business is saying goodbye to these majestic, loyal, amazing creatures. About a week ago he had a very bad fall and injured his hip extensively. Today "C**t" ended his journey peacefully after 36 years of a wonderful horse life. We will miss your hugs and kisses terribly. Adios dear friend run free!!

Everything from a girls best friend, to parades to barrels, to helping children with disabilities this beautiful strawberry roan stole our hearts. Although he was totally blind for the last 4 years of his life his eyes still windowed his gentle soul. Today we had to say goodbye to the Runnin "Red" Rebel. Thank you for sharing your magnificent life with us humans for 30 years.

Look whos back home!! Yay JOKER!! We are so excited to have Joker and Miranda back home. When I put him on the shipping rig in 2019 I didn't think I'd see him again. The hardest part about this business is caring for these animals so long and saying goodbye when they have to move. What a surprise!! Miranda got a great job at WVU that brought her back. We are so excited!! When she called to return I told her "you know there is a new boarding facility a lot closer to Morgantown" she replied. "I wouldn't want to go anywhere but Kross Kreek no matter the drive"

Reserve Grand Champion, Founder of Stars and Strides, The Prince of Kross Kreek, "The kids horse". TITUS has ended his 37 year journey on earth. The most gentle spirited horse I have ever known. On behalf of all of the kids you elevated to new levels. On behalf of everyone who you allowed to ride or walk with you. We love you and will forever miss you. Rest in peace friend.

So many life lessons here. I could watch it a million times!! I just love that the announcer was so focused on the front runners that he never even called "RICH STRIKE" until the final strides. One of the MOST AMAZING things I have ever seen Jockey and Horse in complete concert and having a go. What the world thinks of you, where circumstances put you, no matter the odds... your outcome can always be different than you anticipate.
