The resemblance of our new boy Maverick to his great-grandfather Reilly is uncanny. Except their opposites on their faces but almost identical. It's crazy! I guess you could call Maverik, Reilly 3.0. πŸ˜†πŸ˜

I don't know how much my female australian shepherd thirty years ago of chocolate she ingested after she ate a whole chocolate cake I mean the whole thing and did not die. πŸ˜†

Can dogs eat chocolate and be OK? To be on the safe side, you want to keep chocolate away from your dog. But if it happens, it really depends on your dog's size and the type of chocolate. 🍫

Accidents happen, and sometimes dogs manage to get into something they shouldn’t. So if your dog eats chocolate, here’s what you need to know … and when to call your vet.

Chocolate contains caffeine and theobromine. While these are safe for humans, they’re toxic for dogs. Darker, more bitter chocolate contains higher levels of these toxins. That makes them even more dangerous.

This chart is just a guide. If you suspect your dog has eaten a dangerous amount, reach out to your veterinarian. 🩺

Well, this guy was picked by John and Diane a week ago, but they came and changed their mind and picked blue merle boy #5 instead. So now this little boy is the one that's available. He has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye. He is a very nice puppy and was my second choice in top pick. He has a natural perfect bobtail too!

This handsome boy is going to live with John and Diane in Bozeman. 2nd Prairie Ridge Aussie!

Our Story

Welcome to our ranch. We are located in a farming valley at the base of the picturesque Beartooth Mountains, in the great state of Montana. Montana is a great place to live for us and our animals, with it’s fresh air and lush grasses. For over 20 years, we have proudly owned and raised registered ASCA/AKC Australian Shepherds. The Australian Shepherd's origin lies in the ranches of the great American West, where this versatile and intelligent breed has been valued for decades by cowboys, ranchers and stock men. While Aussies continue to work as stock dogs and compete in herding trials, the breed has earned recognition in other roles because of their train ability and eagerness to please. Australian Shepherds are successful Search and Rescue dogs, disaster dogs, detection dogs, guide, service and therapy dogs. They are highly regarded for their skills in obedience, agility and fly ball. And, most of all, they are beloved family companions.

We strive to keep these traits alive in this wonderful bred the Australian Shepherd. We provide a genetic guarantee for our puppies. We back that guarantee by testing all of our breeding dogs with OFA (Orthopedic foundation for Animals), certified Excellent or Good, cleared of CEA, DM, PRA, MDR1, HSF4.
