Thanks for being here! "Your pet is one of a kind and so is my care." Nancy, of wag 'n detail LLC has had the pleasure of providing this highly personalized grooming service for more than a decade.

“Thousands of years ago, a bond of loyalty, trust and affection was forged between dogs and humans, a bond stronger than ever today. There are now over 300 different breeds world-wide, from the tiny C

hihuahua to the powerful and heroic Newfoundland, and of course, everyone has their own favorite, including those lovable mixed breeds.”

Your pet is my family. I enjoy being a partvof their life. From scratching them behind their ears to getting down on their level to greet them. Did you know that more than any other group of pet health care professionals, my position as a Canine Cosmetologist fills a unique niche by enhancing your pet’s health? It requires certain attributes not required by veterinarians, trainers, breeders, pet shop owners, kennel operators and/or pet food retail salespeople. I spend, on an average, 1-2 hours of hands-on contact with your pet on a monthly maintenance grooming schedule observing and patiently controlling them with safety in mind. Handling in such a manner, in order to be able to judge their physical and mental attitude. No other pet health care professional is required to fulfill these type of conditions in the ex*****on of their job…it’s an important vital position in pet health care delivery. A little about me: I was employed by a major, 4-Dr, Cinti OH veterinary practice for a decade... became qualified in recognizing deviations from “normal”, by detecting issues (not diagnose) your best friend may have. Recommending when it’s time to make that trip to your veterinarian. I see your pet every month, whereas your veterinarian sees your pet once or twice a year. I understand that I have a responsibility to you of not only being the best Groomer for your best friend, but also being your pet’s “healthcare advocate”. I enjoy getting to know your pet while creating a bond in the process. Grooming your pet is more than my profession. It’s my passion.”

wag ‘n detail LLC is an upscale, state-of-the-art mobile dog grooming studio specializing in pampering at its finest! The mobile dog grooming studio is completely self-contained, air-conditioned for the summer and heated for the comfort of your pet in the winter using only quality products, tools and the most innovative techniques available in the grooming industry while having no hook-up to your electricity or water. The grooming studio is powered by a generator/inverter system and carries a 100 gallon tank of fresh warm water on board. The stainless steel tub empties into a 100 gallon grey water tank so there is never no mess left behind. Philosophy of wag ‘n detail LLC: reflects the highest standards of dog grooming available in terms of expertise, skill, safety, compassion and love of dog. This service has become quite popular among busy pet owners who don’t have the time, nor the equipment or ability to groom their pets themselves. In addition to the care from a trained professional, this service offers the convenience of “at-your-door” dog grooming for individuals juggling hectic schedules, senior citizens who are not able to leave their residence, service dogs who need to stay close to home and a range of other pet owners who prefer their dogs not being exposed to other animals, diseases or coping with anxiety of traveling to a traditional shop groomer. Independently, owned and operated, wag ‘n detail LLC caters to healthy dogs, non-aggressive dogs that can stand on their own for an approximate 1-2-hour period. Groomed on a monthly maintenance schedule sustaining healthy skin, ears, teeth, nails while also controlling the pet's shedding coat. All dogs, no matter the coat type, benefit from routine grooming. Regular grooming not only keeps your dog looking and feeling great, but more importantly, routine grooming enhances your dog’s health, comfort, and social acceptance. Pet parents who believe that growing out their pet’s coat out for the winter is beneficial and acceptable and believe that a monthly maintenance schedule is not necessary, are simply misinformed. TIME & $$ SAVED - Under the traditional groomer scenario, the pet owner drops off their pet early in the day and typically will receive a call when finished – a process that can take most of the day or having to be inconvenienced by waiting at a shop, an hour or so in order for the pet to be groomed. wag ‘n detail LLC allows you to save time, money and gas by bringing the grooming studio to you. CLIENT CONVENIENCE - Allowing wag ‘n detail LLC access to your pet is all that is needed – In order to accommodate your lifestyle and schedule, it’s NOT NECESSARY for you to be home in order for your pet to receive grooming services. There’s no need to transport a dirty shedding pet in your car, to a shop, or taking the chance that your pet may become car sick. Pet owners are happy to pay for this added convenience in knowing that their pet’s grooming needs will be taken care of, without the hassle. Mobile grooming is a very personalized service and prices tend to be higher because of traveling to you. Your pet is always my #1 priority from start to finish while in my care. LESS STRESS - Leaving home can be stressful enough, but knowing that the majority of the day will be spent in a cage waiting to be groomed, more than likely with limited potty breaks, unsupervised heated cage dryers, minimal amounts of water given, soiled cages, and surrounded by other pets unable to play or investigate the environment, pets can become agitated, upset, and physically sick. By not riding in a vehicle to an unfamiliar location and being left at a shop, the stress is greatly reduced. This in turn, provides caring for a calmer, more relaxed pet, resulting in a more enjoyable grooming experience which pet owners appreciate all taking place in the convenience of their own driveway. The grooming session, on an average, will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on breed, weight, age, last groomed, condition of coat, style of trim desired, behavior, and temperament. ONE-ON-ONE ATTENTION - Having a mobile grooming service come to you, enables the stylist to focus more on the task, at hand, of grooming your pet, without the unending interruptions. wag ‘n detail prides themselves on being able to provide this type of service giving your pet the individual attention deserved, as well as, allowing peace of mind to the pet owner in knowing that the same stylist will take care of their pets’ grooming needs, increasing the pets’ comfort level while creating a strong bond of trust between the pet and the stylist. As with any service provider, simply finding a talented, reputable stylist requires doing your homework. Currently, there are no licensing requirements to ensure that the stylist has a certain amount of training, experience, and education. This is why it’s important to choose your stylist carefully by doing some research i.e., searching online, checking the yellow pages, obtaining referrals from veterinarians, pet stores, or from personal recommendations, before hiring any service provider. BEHIND THE SHEARS

I never sought out to become a mobile pet stylist. In fact, I combined a grooming
hobby and a love for animals into a business over the course of the last decade, emerging as a “pet stylist” quite unexpectedly. I began bathing dogs at an early
age including an interest in training and behavior. At the age of 22, I approached grooming only leisurely, as raising my family was my priority at that time. Now that my “human” children have since grown, I live with my husband of 30+ years and menagerie of pets including “Holly”, the talking Congo African Grey Parrot and visits with my grandsons & families. In 1999 I decided to follow my ambition and pursue a career
working with animals. I chose this profession because of my love and empathy for pets. I began working for a major, 4-doctor veterinary practice and grooming facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. Within a short period of time, I was offered a position to assist the DVM/Practice Owner of the company
by running daily operations of the hospital. I developed a strong background in animal behavior, veterinary health care, nutrition, and certification in CPR Canine
First Aid. I also gained extensive knowledge within the pet industry in relation to running successful business operations, from marketing, television and radio, to employee management, up until the company was sold to a major corporation. Through those particular years, I developed an interest in the pet grooming industry recognizing the need for improvements in regards to cleanliness, safety, handling of pets, technical/practical skills, compassion, and the importance of a professional relationship between the pet owner and stylist as far as communication. When it comes to your pet’s grooming needs, I’m always reaching higher. I began attending pet grooming trade shows, educational seminars and competitive grooming competitions, learning from the “best of the best” award-winning pet stylists and judges from all over the country. I possess an incessant ability to “read” your best friend using grooming techniques with a “soft touch”. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority and never compromised. I attribute the success of my mobile dog grooming business to my eye for style and detail and the ability to take care of my clients, both human and animal. I’m a proud graduate of the NASH Academy of Animal Arts, accredited and approved by the Kentucky Department of Education. The NASH Academy is well-known throughout the United States for turning out highly skilled, sought-after pet stylists and who are highly respected in their industry. Their philosophy reflects the highest standards of pet grooming available in terms of expertise, skill, safety, compassion, and love of dog. More than 20+ years ago, I started down this path and have used my business and creative skills through dog grooming. I’m happy to finally be in a place where I can allocate my time by working with pets to create their own special style – focusing on my passion, which started as a hobby and grew into a business, the business of mobile pet grooming. MISSION STATEMENT
The more I groom your pets, I truly believe, the better I get to know them, the better I can care for your best friend making sure that their grooming needs are taken care of. It’s that simple. My mission is to provide your pet with the highest level of kind, compassionate grooming, in a clean, stress-free, and safe environment where you can be confident knowing that your pet will be professionally treated with love, respect and kindness. If you’re looking for someone with the proper education in the grooming industry, then you have found the right person. I strive to make your pets’ experience in my mobile grooming studio peaceful and satisfying…a small oasis in their busy life. I have committed myself to continuing education and rigorous training. I will listen to what you want and make sure you and your pet’s needs are taken care of. Feel free to ask questions. After all, you are your pet’s voice…

wag 'n detail LLC specializes in smaller breeds and large short-haired dogs, such as, Labrador Retrievers, Dobermans, Boxers, and Great Danes. wag 'n detail does not groom full-coated Cocker Spaniels, Chow Chows, Old English Sheepdogs, Newfoundlands, etc., due to the additional drying time involved.

Happy Friday‼️

🦅🐦‍⬛The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the crow. The crow sits on the eagles back and bites it’s neck. The eagle does not attempt to shake it off or fight it. It doesn’t spend its time or energy on the small nuisance. Instead, it just opens its wings and begins to rise higher into the sky. The higher the flight the harder it is for the crow to breathe and to hold on, until it eventually falls off due to lack of oxygen. Learn from the eagle and don’t spend your time fighting crows. Just keep ascending, they may be along for the ride in the beginning but they’ll soon fall off. Do not allow yourself to succumb to these petty distractions. Keep your focus on the things above and keep rising🦅

Study: Metal bowls have MORE dangerous bacteria⚠️ than plastic! 🤯

Pet food and water bowls can transmit bacteria, according to research, and while 67% of owners use metal bowls, only about 1/3 of people wash the bowl after a meal, and some only dry wipe, which is how the bacteria party gets started 🤢. And that slippery film in the water bowl after 24 hours? That’s a brew of bacteria🦠 that can be transferred from your dog to you and your family.

The amount of moisture in the food also matters. Wet food (compared to dry) was associated with higher bacteria - and higher humidity levels are likely to create perfect conditions for bacterial growth, especially after coming in contact with dog saliva left in the bowl.

In our new book, The Forever Dog LIFE, we lay out the pro’s and con’s of different types of bowls. Here’s a glimpse of what you need to know:

Plastic🥣: Chemicals in plastic absorb through the skin and inhibit the synthesis of melanin, which can cause Plastic Dish Nasal Dermatitis that leaves your pet’s nose & lips, pink and irritated.

Ceramic:🫖 Hartpury scientists found the most harmful bacterial species (salmonella, E.coli and MRSA) were most frequently found in ceramic bowls because of people continuing to use them after fine cracks in the glaze become visible.

Stainless steel🥄: cheaper quality bowls have been involved in recalls due to heavy metal contamination. Be sure to buy high-quality bowls (18/8 or 304 steel) from a trusted source.

Glass🥛: Durable, kitchen-friendly glass bowls made from 100% borosilicate glass (Pyrex) make great food and water bowls on the floor.

🧼No matter which type of bowl you use, the best thing you can do to protect you and your dog’s health is to wash your bowl after every meal with hot water and soap. In addition, at least once a week, run your bowls through the hot cycle in your dishwasher. You can also coat the bowl with hydrogen peroxide, wait five minutes, then wipe with a clean sponge and rinse.

For more info on bowls, Comment and we’ll message you the link to The Forever Dog LIFE book where in part one titled The Forever Kitchen and the section labelled “Food & Water Bowls", we cover how to choose the best chemical-free bowls🌱 that won’t leach contaminants⚠️ over time.
