Love you Eloise!

This sweet Fox Red Labrador Retriever was so sweet and also so SPUNKY. She was always on the move and had no sense of listening to anyone if she wasn’t at home. Any distractions would make her check out from mom and her listening skills quick.

Gaining her off switch will be a big win for her family moving forward. She also walks nicely on a leash which will get her more time to get out into the world!

Bye Chief!!

This dude was QUITE the handful. In fact a few handfuls! He came because he pulled like a tank, jumped on everyone, and was generally running the show.

He learned some self control, a new way of communication with his mom, and some new found manners.

Miss you already Chief! Be good!

Welcome Bailey!

This 3 year old goldendoodle is so sweet but you wouldn’t know it if you met her on the street! She is a very reactive girl who barks and throws a fit when out on the walk. She brings the drama! Her parents want to be able to walk her with confidence that they can handle situations as they pop up both at home and away!

This loving girl is also learning how to potty outside in the grass instead of on potty pads, reducing her jumping on people and working on her general anxiety that keeps her brain constantly on the move. Calm the body and calm the mind!

Keep up the hard work Bailey!

Meet Goose the French Bull Dog!

Goose is just over a year old and can be quite a handful. He is very much loved by his family but needs some structure in order to be the companion they actually want around!

He can be fearful of new people in the house which leads to barking excessively and running around for a long time. When he does recognize the person - he is barking and jumping all over them! This is not exactly the canine friend you want to have at your party on Friday! He also struggles to walk on the leash politely. He will pull all over the place - towards other dogs, putting on the breaks, or trying to home when he is nervous. And he is strong for his size! Goose will also nip at his family members’ feet when they are walking through their house.

He is here to learn a new mindset where he can follow the lead of his parents instead of making drastic decisions on his own that get him into trouble and cause more chaos in his family’s life. He is learning how to look to a human for direction and how to actually listen and follow through when they give him direction. Training is not only obedience - its mindset!

Can’t wait to see where this training takes him and his family!

Doc is here to do some training!

Doc the 2-year-old chocolate lab has done some lessons with me in the past so his face might be familiar. Now, he is here to stay with us at TWL for a bit to accomplish even more than his standard obedience commands.

Doc is super smart and knows so much but is here to work on his mindset - especially around other dogs and around his impulsiveness. He can be over the top when he sees other dogs - barking, lunging, and causing a scene. We want to give him the skill sets to work through these big emotions as well as experience in seeing that what he deems as a threat is usually not one! He is also ball crazy and is here to learn some skills about keeping his brain in his skull, even when he is super excited and adrenaline-driven.

Docs handlers are also ready to step up to the plate to give new leadership to him. Dog training is so much about the relationship and communication between us and our dogs - and Doc is going to need as much clarity when he heads home as he has here.

Say hi to Doc with a heart emoji!
