Meet Nigel ( #780-24)! He is a 5 month old Heeler mix. Nigel is such a sweet snuggle bug! Being around his people makes him the happiest and he will be your little shadow around the house and is so fast to jump up for some cuddles when you sit on the couch. He absolutely loves toys and is so excited to discover new ones in his toy box and bring all his treasures to his nice bed. Nigel is so smart and has been working on "sit" this week and not jumping up when he's so excited to see you. He is a little nervous in new settings and can be a little skittish if you move too fast. He does well on a leash and has been taking in all the new sights and sounds like a champ. He has done really well with his older foster sister dogs, being very respectful of their space. He hasn't wanted to dive into play time with them right away, taking his time to learn the ropes and feel comfortable in his foster house. Nigel does well in his crate, sleeping through the night in it but is a bit sad when he can't be with you all the time. Nigel is a spunky, athletic and such a loving pup! Meet Minnie ( #699-24). She is a 15 week old Chihuahua mix. Minnie is in a foster home with two other dogs (one large senior dog and a Chihuahua) and has done amazing with both and enjoys having a companion to play with. Minnie also shares the home with two younger kids who she enjoys playing with, cuddling and being carried by. Her temperament has been great with both of kids and other dogs. Meet Spike (736-24)! He is a 4 month old Heeler mix. Spike is a happy pup, but comes off very shy at first. Spike will warm up to you after you earn his trust. He loves playing with other dogs and running around in the backyard. Spike does well on walks and is working on potty training. He sleeps through the night and is crate trained. 🚨 AUGUST PET SAFETY TIP:
Dogs can get sunburned too, especially if they have short fur, pink or exposed skin. Find a canine specific sunscreen or look for one that's safe for baby's sensitive skin. Never use sunscreen containing Zinc Oxide as it is very toxic to dogs. Consult your vet for suggestions.

Hi, my name is Julep (703)! I am a 14 week old Heeler mix. I’ll hook you with my beautiful green eyes, but I’ll reel you in with my personality! I’m really chill puppy that likes to wrestle with my foster siblings and run through the grass outside. I like to meet new people and try new things. I’m good about sleeping in my crate at night and have figured out the doggie door. I love playing with my foster dog siblings, and while cats and chickens are interesting, I leave them alone for the most part. I love toys and my favorite is this tunnel thing that my foster mom has for me to run through. I’m ready and excited for my new life and meeting my new family – let’s do it! We don’t know how Parm ( #481) could possibly get passed up again and again each weekend. He is a 4.5 month old Heeler mix. He is an adorable pup who comes across as timid at the shelter, but comes out of his shell in the fosters home. Parm loves to play with the fosters dogs and has learned that pets and snuggles are amazing. He is such a sweet, quiet pup and has figured out that the couch is the most comfy spot to chill. Parm has made himself at home and the foster completely trust him to free-roam and he does great. He has followed the lead of the fosters 3 dogs and is completely potty trained. He has not had a single accident in the fosters house since the first day got had him. He is smart and has figured out how to use the dog door on his own and has learned to sit for a treat. He is loyal, wants to please and is treat motivated. He is sleeping through the night on a dog bed next to the fosters bed. He is very comfortable around there 2 terrier mix dogs and the big shepherd/rottweiler/pit mix dog. Parm has not shown any food or toy aggression. He would do fine as an only pup, but also would do great with some doggy siblings. He is going to make a great family dog! Come meet Dex ( #806) tomorrow! He is a 11 week old Australian Shepherd mix. Dex is sweet, curious, and so much fun. He's small but mighty and wants to play with any dog he meets, whether it's his tiny brother or the 70 lb. resident pitbull. He's doing very well with crate training and sleeps though the night, though he'd much rather be snuggling with his human. Dex is a shadow pup and will follow you anywhere and everywhere if you'll let him.
