I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! 😊
I would add a photo but I haven't been on FB in so long I'm not finding the drag and drop option. Uploading from the computer takes too long. 😳 If I dont have to upload files for a photo, I will start posting lots more often. We have so many cute puppy pictures.

We said yes to a child yesterday. A five pound, two week old bundle of new life. She didn’t end up needing us after all, but we said yes.

Chances are, if a stranger showed up on your doorstep with this precious child and said, “This little life needs someone to take care of her and love her for a while. Are you willing?” You would look at the five pound, two week old baby—or rambunctious three year old or darling nine year old or desperate seventeen year old—and say “yes.” You would look into her eyes and see the divinely-dosed, inherent worth and beauty of that little life and say, “Yes, yes, of course I will.” People—friends, strangers on the street—share this sentiment with me often. “Oh, I wish I could just scoop up all those kids and take them home with me,” they proclaim, without doing anything at all about it.

The problem, really, is our proximity to the need. Most of us can easily walk through our days without the inconvenience of rubbing up against the vulnerable. We are naturally distanced from the needing, blind to the invisible, deaf to the voiceless. Because people don’t actually show up at your doorstep with children who need you, right?

Except they do. They do. You just have to sign up to be the doorstep they show up on. You have to say “yes” before the question is asked. You have to decide: “I don’t want to hide from the need. I want to know the need. I want to meet the need.” You have to be ready and willing to be the open door for the sure-to-come child who will one day be on your doorstep, needing you.

Hope everyone is ok. Pandemic is making life rough for so many.
Please remember when things dont go as planned with someone it could be there is more involved than meets the eye. Its a good time to be kind and give others the benefit of the doubt. Lend a helping hand, instead of a sharp remark.

We had a big storm go through last night knocking out the internet and phones. It was back on this morning, very sadly caused a miscommunication with emails not going out, which I thought had sent. Love/hate technology.
We didn't get any physical damage, hope others didn't either.
