Dog Sledding and Kayaking Wintermoon Summersun is an environmentally friendly dog sledding and sea kayaking retreat lodge.

We have a beautiful and peaceful 400 acre Finnish homestead located 50 miles north of Duluth, Minnesota in the Superior National Forest.

Working with a friendly sled dog kennel at an eco-sustainable lodge. Also trail and homestead chores. Need a love of dogs and people, outdoors, fall/winter weather, living off-grid, must be mature, fit, be able to work independently. this position starts around October/November until the end of March, includes room/board/stipend.

Meet my friend Snow, she is clinging for dear life to rocks, to the earth. I watched the news and have told her that over 26 hurricanes have struck this year, that twice this week Lubbock TX was colder than Duluth MN, and that CA is the hottest and burning.... and that I am worried. As a winter business we depend on Snow and we need a leader who gets the connection between climate change and the economy. Snow asks can you people live without a healthy earth for water, food, shelter, how much do all these disasters cost, what can you do? I tell her that I will do what I can on Nov 3 and I will implore others to have the insight and courage to do the same.

Finn and "the master" - grandmother Lemmikki is one of the best leaders ever and the two of them have been having a great time teaching and learning together this winter. Finn is doing amazing!
