I have developed strong affection for this handsome individual and his distinctive ears. Balto is currently enrolled in a three-week Obedience Board and Train program, designed to reinforce his previously acquired obedience skills, obtained through training with another trainer at his former residence. Unfortunately, the combined effects of relocation and a traumatic encounter with another canine have resulted in a decline in his training, leading to increase reactivity, resource guarding and decreased self-control.
The primary objectives of this training program are to address these issues and foster confidence in his abilities.

🥳We are pleased to introduce Balto, a 4-year-old Pit/Shep/Husky mix, to Teachers Pet🥳

Balto and his owners are new to the area and have chosen us after researching for a trainer with expertise in addressing his specific needs. Balto has previously received training in obedience and reactivity, particularly regarding his interactions with other dogs.
We are grateful to Tiffany, his previous trainer at K9 Kompanion Training in New England, for establishing a solid foundation in obedience training for Balto.

A chat has been created to enable them to remain involved in his training journey.
We are thrilled to embark on the next phase of Balto's and his owners' obedience training journey!

I apologize for the delay in this welcoming post. Unfortunately, I have been unwell.

📣🐾Without further ado, PLEASE JOIN US in WELCOMING Darla, a six-month-old German Shepherd and her owner to Teachers Pet K9 Training 🐾 📣

Previously, they had a horrific experience with another local trainer, which resulted in Darla becoming ill with worms and significantly underweight, with minimal training. Understandably, the owner was distraught, frustrated, and angry.
Despite this ordeal, the owner persevered in finding a superior solution for their dog training needs and chose Teachers Pet K9 Training

For many, such an experience would have deterred them from pursuing obedience training, which is heartbreaking.There are numerous exceptional dog trainers who are passionate about their craft. Hence, thorough research is crucial before selecting a trainer. If your dog has human aggression issues, it is essential to find a trainer with expertise in that area. Similarly, for puppy obedience training, including potty and crate training, a trainer with patience and relevant skills is vital.
