Today was one of the most rewarding show days I think I’ve ever had ♥️

39 silkies, 11 exhibitors

🏆RV with a black pullet, 3rd overall
🏆BV with a partridge pullet (she was the only one so she doesn’t count 😆)
🏆 BV with a self blue hen

⚪️ White card

Thank you to both judges who recognized my black and self blue girls. Black is so competitive and self blue is so difficult in every way!

I’ve got some 6-8 week old mottled & split cockerels, a mauve hen, a self blue growout pullet, and possibly some black brooder babies I can bring to Dalton, GA this weekend if prearranged.

I am wore out, y’all 😅

It was a wild, crazy, busy, chaotic, fun day at Ruther Glen for the ASBC Virginia State Meet!

We ended up with 190 (went back to recount) silkies‼️ 373 total featherleg, and DOUBLE the silkies we had last year!

I didn’t get many pictures (again) but we did pretty well!

I’ve got a few growout pullets, a hen, and some young mottled cockerels off heat (about 5-6 weeks old) I can bring to Ruther Glen this weekend if prearranged.

The Appalachian Classic was an absolute blast!

The little black pullets took 4th and 5th pullet out of 15 pullets in the blue card show, too!

I got to see some of the Stoltman crew, helped clerk the OEGB money show, made some new friends, and got to catch up with old ones.
