Foster in place?

What's that mean? This is Mama Mia and one of her kittens showed up in our dear friend Melissa Howell Fields garage and she called me to talk next steps. Turns out Mama and all 5 of her kittens were in the garage. Melissa scooped them all up but we had limited help we could offer. We have just a handful of fosters and they are all overfull.

Thankfully Melissa said they could stay with her and foster in place. Get it? That's where our organization is right now. With no available fosters, if folks find cats we need them to foster. We will always provide access to our low cost resources and fundraise. So thank you Melissa for stepping into an unplanned role. You are doing just beautifully with this little fam!

🧚‍♀️ BLESSINGS FROM THE SPEUTER FAIRY 🏥

In what can only be a gift from the Speuter Fairy, Dos Rios Resque has 8 cats making their way to the WCJC Animal Shelter - Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay Neuter Clinic this morning. Okay so not fairy gifts but instead wonderful partnerships with the clinic, Operation: Johnson Kitty, and New Hope Cat Rescue.

We have a huge backlog of kittens waiting on speuter and pretty much every low cost clinic is overwhelmed with animals needing care so this really was a once in a lifetime opportunity! The line up today is all 3 of the Fairy Circle girls (left column), the last of the Victory Lane Boyz (top middle), our 2nd surgery for the Precious Gems (bottom middle), last column our singletons Fife, Jillian, and Sammy Hagar.

Please send love and happy thoughts their way today. Now...where did I plant that Money Tree again? 🤭

🫶 ANOTHER STORY FILLED WITH MAGIC ✨️

Boops & Beans Cat Cafe has this wonderful way of making magical connections for cats and it is no different with Tanner. Lauren had a very specific Wish List for the traits of the cat she needed. It wasn't about appearance, it was about who the cat was on the inside. She didn't know it at first but Tanner was the one!

So now for the crazy. Tanner's foster mom is Laura Anderson. His adoptive mom is Lauren Anderson. Both of these lovely Anderson women are Occupational Therapists (in fact they were often confused in the field). They also both have cats named Basil. If this adoption wasn't meant to be, I don't know what is!

So please let me reintroduce
Mister Buttercream Von Pumpkin! 🎃
