I cannot give a better example of why YOU are needed and the difference you can make in fostering a cat or kitten than the picture below. Hiro was a very sick 300g kitten that would absolutely not have survived without a foster family. Today he is happy, healthy and thriving because someone said, "sure, I will help that lil guy."

📊 BY THE NUMBERS - SEPTEMBER 📈

It's that time again. Time for last month's update. It was another busy month and the kittens just keep streaming in. Some days it feels like we aren't making a dent in the animal welfare crisis but then we remember we made a difference for the cats you see pictured below. We are tired but our hearts are full. And if not us, then who?

🐾 Celebrated 6 adoptions
🐾 Four of those adoptions were thanks to the partnership with Boops & Beans Cat Cafe. We closed the chapter of the last foster with Forever Furry Friends' girl Sugar as well as closing the Wolfpack chapter with Valko's adoption. Yes! He finally went into the right carrier.
🐾 Welcomed 18 new cats in need into foster

Thanks to beautiful partnerships with WCJC Animal Shelter - Judy and Doug Lowrie Spay Neuter Clinic and Operation: Johnson Kitty we:
😮 Helped 21 cats to happier, healthier lives with speuter surgery
😮 10 males that can father an unlimited number of kittens in a year never got the chance to
😮 11 females that won't produce an average of 176-264 kittens in the next year

💉😿 We did receive a heartbreaking diagnosis of FIP for foster Dizi (will add pic in comments). She beat the odds of euthanasia at a local animal control in July and now with the help of Help For FIP she will beat this too! We really could use your financial support to fund the 84 day treatment protocol. So if you could remember her on payday for the next 12 weeks, we would be so grateful.

🔢 Currently:
🫟 96 cats in our foster program with 4 of those cats pre-adopted
🫟 Average number of days in foster 160 days (down 6 days from August)
🫟 Five active foster families + Boops & Beans
