🐾 Foster Feature: Meet Vinnie—Again! 🐾

We first introduced you to Vinnie six weeks ago, and we can’t believe this lovable guy still hasn’t been adopted!

Vinnie is loving life in his foster home, but he’s more than ready to find his forever family. This sweet, gentle boy is the ultimate cuddle bug and will happily follow you around just to be near you. He’s curious but polite with his feline foster siblings, great with kids, and always eager to soak up some sunshine (or munch on some snow!).

Even though Vinnie loves to watch the world go by from the window, he’s not a barker—just a curious guy with a heart of gold. 💛

🐾 Understanding Our Stray Hold Times 🐾

Did you know that stray animals brought to the Humane Society of Elkhart County have specific hold times based on their identification and where they were found? 🐕🐈

📅 Here’s a quick breakdown:

➡️ 3 Business Days: Stray animals with no microchip or ID.
➡️ 5 Business Days: Stray animals with no microchip or ID found in Goshen and Nappanee.
➡️ 10 Calendar Days: Animals with a registered microchip or other identification, such as a tag. If the information doesn’t lead to the owner, the hold time will revert to 3 or 5 days depending on location.

🚨 STAGE 5 CLINGER ALERT 🚨

Clinton isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone to follow from room to room, someone whose lap is never off-limits, and someone who’s cool with sharing snacks (especially hot dogs 🌭).

This morning, Clinton got to be famous when volunteer Kristy took him to be on HomeTown Living! He loved every minute—car ride? ✔️ New friends? ✔️ Attention and cuddles? ✔️ Kristy said he was the perfect co-star and total lovebug the entire time. 💛

Clinton is a 7-year-old pit bull mix with a heart of gold. He walks great on a leash, rides like a champ, and doesn’t believe in strangers—only friends he hasn’t met yet. He is heartworm positive, but don’t worry—we’ll take care of his treatment if you adopt him.

✅ First Time Here: This is your pet's first time being with us.
⏱ Reclaim within 48 Hours: You must reclaim your pet within 48 hours of intake.
📋 Free Microchip: Allow us to provide your pet with a free microchip.
💉 Up-to-Date Rabies Vaccine: Your pet must have an up-to-date rabies vaccine. If not, one can be provided at your expense.
