This is the vaccine I use on my pups at 10 weeks old and annually after that. The ONLY other vaccine I have done is the Rabies. That vaccine is state regulated and has to be done by a veterinarian. I always try to find a clinic or a vet who will do all my dogs at one time without charging me the stupid exam fee. That's a rip off.

Every puppy raised here this year received the below vaccination at 6 weeks old. I believe they do not need a vaccine before that, because the mother is up-to-date on her vaccination and they are nursing from her. I purchase these vaccines from a dog supply store nearby. They can be bought at Rural King, Tractor Supply and other similar stores in our state. I price check, because they can vary a lot. I've also bought them online. Some states like MN you can't buy vaccines for dogs, so I went to WI to buy them.

All our puppies are fed Puppy Chow. We get it from Walmart. We follow the directions on the bag. We take the daily amount listed and feed half in the morning when we get up and the 2nd meal no later than 5 p.m. We soak and soften the feed making it easier on their stomach. I know people have told me their puppy handled it just fine without softening. Every now and then there's ONE puppy that can't handle it. Softening it for the first few months is a good idea.

When puppies leave here they've been dewormed with Nemex 2 as often as needed, which will be a minimum of 2x by 6 weeks old. Once a puppy hits about 11 lbs I switch my dogs over to All Wormer (Generic for Drontal Plus) which I acquire from Cress's Sales and MFG. The link is listed at the end of this paragraph. When I'm concerned about deworming my dogs I call the vet and ask when can I bring in a f***l sample. I then bring a f***l sample to the vet in a baggie. I don't bring my dog or puppy in, because it will cost way more money for the f***l check. The vet then advises me on what's needed. With multiple dogs I still bring in one sample to check all the dogs for the price of one.

We woke up this Father's Day morning to beagle puppies being born. Nikkie again does it all unassisted. I'm not sure if she's done having puppies.

Nikkie is due with puppies on Father's Day!
This is my only litter this year.

NKC registered with many champions in the bloodline. Will be dewormed and vaccinated. Most of our puppies go as pets and a few as hunters.

Why is Good Friday GOOD? With permission I post the following testimony from a lady who posted this testimony this week to our Bible Study Group text.

I have recently accepted Christ as my Savior. Before I started coming to this group and before faith came into my life, I lived my life day by day not having anyone to turn to with my problems, feeling lost and not having faith. Now as I learn more and more about Jesus and what He has gone through for us, my eyes have opened. I now believe in my heart Jesus died on the cross to save me (all of us) from sin and then He rose from the dead. I know in my life I have sinned and will sin (it's a given), but I now know that because I have been saved and have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior I will be forgiven. I now have much more joy in my life!"

It's testimonies like this that puts the GOOD in Good Friday!. We celebrate over people like this lady as the angels celebrate. Luke 15:10

Eric Holt texted me yesterday and said, "I ran my dogs yesterday and they got on this rabbit and it was making huge circles....it was running within feet of me and I couldn't ever see it like it was invisible almost. My dogs circled it 63 times til it vanished into thin air... I counted. I saw it once finally on the 58th time and happened to get a good picture." What a liar!

Liz ran this rabbit on her own splitting off from the other dogs. She ran a straight line like a brace dog for 250 yards my Garmin reported. Not bad for 13.5 year old dog. The other dogs pushed 2 rabbits by me. I'm on private land.

These ribbons were won by Sandy our bluetick coonhound 60 years ago. I remember getting this dog as a puppy for $5. This guy had these pups running wild on his land and never were handled. I can still see the moment Dad was falling all over the place on a hill of sand scooping up this puppy. He said it was the only puppy he could catch. I believe Dad was in his mid-20s at the time.

I hunted the dogs last Friday. I didn't recover Hank for a full 24 hours. I spent many hours driving around and walking through the woods yelling for him. I sat in the truck at the starting point beeping my horn for hours waiting for him to show up. On a walk late Saturday morning he suddenly showed up right behind me. I have no idea which way he came from. He sure was tired. I thank the Lord for the recovery.

Ran a few rabbits yesterday. Liz went off on her own and ran her own rabbit for a couple hours. At 13.5 years old I let her do what she wants. Oakley jumped 3, Nikkie jumped 1. Buster at 10 months old is doing fine. Notice their tails.

Common questions are what and how do I feed my puppies? We've been using Purina Puppy Chow for 40 years with NO issues. The price is good and easy to find at Walmart or a farm feed store like Rural King, Tractor Supply or Orscheln's. I recommend following the feed instructions on the bag for the daily allowance. I take that larger number for the daily allowance and divide it in half. Give half in the morning and the other half in the evening feeding at your supper time. You want your puppy as empty as possible at your bed time. Don't feed the puppy anything after supper. It is BEST to wet the feed with warm water, so it becomes soft. We do this until they are 12 weeks old. Some puppies may have a sensitive stomach lining and the rough feed may cause them to have blood in their stool. Some puppies need more feed. In that case you can call me and I can discuss further. This is what we've done with much success. It's only our recommendation. Please, don't feed your puppy or dog to look like the "fast dog". lol
