For those of you that may not know, Doodlebug’s owner, Jennifer, is also a Category I wildlife rehabilitator as well as the Chair of Fundraising for local wildlife rescue and education nonprofit AERO Animal Education and Rescue Organization. Doodlebug has made a $1000 matching pledge to support A.E.R.O in their fundraising efforts tomorrow, during local charity drive Give Choose. Good afternoon!

Due the road conditions we saw today and the impending forecast, Doodlebug Dog Walker has made the decision to CLOSE tomorrow TUESDAY JANUARY 16th. We are hopefully to resume operations as usual Wednesday January 17th, but will update you by email, Time to Pet notification, and via our FAcebook page if that changes. As always, please make sure there is a safe, cleared path for your dog walker to reach your home when we do next come for service. As in, clear of snow and ice. If you prefer your walker to use an alternative on property entry method on especially icky days because that is easier for you to keep clear, please let them and the office know via your Time to Pet chat, or by emailing or texting the office. Many thanks for your patience and understanding with the unpredictability of snow and winter weather. Stay warm and safe!

Hey Doodlebug Family! I wanted to share this really special event with you all - BINGO night to support AERO, a wildlife rehabilitation and education nonprofit. I am a first year apprentice, and have been raising and releasing local wildlife this past year, and while it is some of the most fulfilling work I've ever done, it is also the most expensive 😂 Formula, caging, bedding, solid foods, and more, all add up for each baby. FIFTEEN YEARS. That’s how long this guy has been kicking it by my side and making my life better for every minute of it. He still loves naps and sun spots, a shorter and slower paced hike, and making friends (on his terms) and of course, being velcroed to his mommy ♥️ I wouldn’t have it any other way 🐾🐻♥️🥰

Hey everyone! If you have ever asked us for a good trainer, you know I highly recommend Marina for Good Dog Workshop! She is starting a new puppy play date program this week for socialization and it promises to be an adorable event! Doodlebug will be donating a gift basket for her to raffle at this event, and you can sign up for her mailing list for other upcoming socialization events. Meanwhile, Doodlebug will have a fun event announcement of our own later this week - stay tuned!

Happy Birthday, Betty! Here at Doodlebug Dog Walker we did our own little twist on the and did five $100 donations to the following organizations that are either near and dear to my own heart, or were inspired by the animal lovers and rescuers that inspire me. 🥰🥰 Pets with Disabilities, Richmond Animal Care and Control, Fauquier SPCA, Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, and Gray Face Acres Senior Dog Rescue.

After watching the snow turn to ice and show no signs of slowing down, we have made the decision to close tomorrow, Monday January 17th to allow plenty of time for roads to be adequately cleared. It is always a difficult decision to make, but given the federal holiday, I sincerely hope this has minimal negative impact on you and your furbabies. I trust we will be all set to resume service as normal on Tuesday the 18th and thank you for your patience and understanding in what is already a much more aggressive winter than we are used to!
