Its always sad when you lose a life. We dont know what happened if it was natural causes or mom, as he could have passed from complications as well. However we do what we can to prevent this type of thing from happening but we cant be with them 24/7. Even the best moms can accidently step, lay, squish their puppies and healthy puppies protest and alert moms to this but in this special case he wasnt able to move like normal puppies and this could have been a factor if this happened. Zara is a great mom but she might not have even noticed what happened if this was the case. No matter what though he will be missed.
