We host several herding events each year & raise herding bred dogs. Our farm is the favorite place for grandbabies to play and learn about farm life.

We host 4-6 herding trials per year and help people train their own dogs for herding 8 out of 12 months per year, with a break for hot Summer and cold Winter. Not only do we work stock dogs, but we raise a limited amount of sheep and a few herding dogs. I am an avid horsewoman and make sure we have a few horses around to enjoy for family and friends. piration of my first children's book, "Why Pony Why" It is illustrated by a very talented young man, Jeremy Brown, Our children's books can be found on Amazon. We also make a few homemade soaps and other products. In short we are blessed and love our life and hope we can add a smile to your day from time to time. Visit us often! Beginner thru Advanced handlers and dogs. Round pen, arena or small pasture areas and some farm type work available. Stay to watch when not working! Watching the other dogs at different levels is very helpful.

5yr thru 12yr handlers may have an assistant inside the arena with them and/or a coach assist from outside of the arena.
Judge may also give advice during the run
13yr thru 17yr handlers may have a coach assist from outside of the arena. Judge may also give advice during the run
We will be using the score sheets for A Course Started ducks and sheep
You may use a competitor’s dog, or a trained herding dog not in the competition or if your dog is in training and capable who may use your own dog. Dog, handler and stock safety is of utmost importance. Placement rosettes 1st thru 5th will be awarded for both age groups and participant ribbons past fifth place
Non Regular Junior Sheep runs will follow the regular A Started sheep runs

An older post but true as ever today!
"While watching the road to Rio I had been thinking about how important it is to have people around you who make you strive to be the best you can be, whether training dogs, horses or whatever your passion happens to be. How important to work with those better than you and passionate about what you do, those people will drive you to the top of your abilities. You can't become your best if you allow mediocracy to be the norm. You have to challenge yourself and be among those who are extraordinary. Then hearing about Ms Summits death and following her story it is evident that success comes from great endeavors on both the part of the athletes and the coaches. I hope all of you will find a way to follow your dreams and to be inspired. We had such a bumper crop of lambs this year, we can now offer some adult working sheep and even a few lambs to those of you who have property and need some sheep to train dogs on etc. Let me know if you are interested! I also have several ducks that sure are good for training!
