A few weeks ago, we were notified of this post pleading for help for this sweet girl. She and her people lost their home to a fire. We are happy to report that she was brought to us just a couple of days after that post asking for help. Tulsa Animal Services and our practice manager worked together to get Buffy a safe place to crash while her home is reconstructed. Buffy is so smart and she loves to PLAY! We're grateful to be able to help Buffy and her family while they navigate insurance claims and construction projects.

🤢🥴 Some days are just...gross. As you know, pets sometimes eat something they shouldn't. The doctor decides if vomiting is helpful or harmful. Sometimes, the patient has to have activated charcoal. Whether it's inducing vomiting or administering activated charcoal, our team provides the best care. The activated charcoal was everywhere! We're so happy our team laughed the day away while covered in the evidence of their hard work. 🤣

😳 This poor pup was stopping to p*e every few minutes. Radiographs showed a large opaque object in the bladder. Dr. Tarpalechee was able to remove the large stone with no complications. This huge stone took up almost the entire bladder! We're happy to report that this puppers is feeling much better! 😁

🐸 This pacman frog's people noticed he was squinting and brought him to see Dr. Tarpalechee. She was able to identify the scratch by using a dye test. It is important to use the dye test before prescribing medication. The stain uptake helps the doctor decide which medication is the safest to use. 🐸

⛄❄All of our evening appointments have rescheduled due to the weather. For our staff's safety, we will close early tonight. In addition, we will open one hour later than usual tomorrow morning. We want everyone to have plenty of time to make it to work safely. Cuddle up with your pet and enjoy this rare snow that we are being blessed with. We'll see you tomorrow. ❄⛄

We've seen so many puppies and kittens that found a new home over the holidays. 🥰 We love seeing your new babies! The first year can be overwhelming. Fret no more! We are here to help you the whole way. At around 8 weeks old, we need to see them for their first pediatric exam. Your pet came to you with it's first round of vaccines? Great! Give us a call so we can schedule the booster vaccines and start parasite prevention. We want your baby to stay protected!

We love our partnership with and host high school students every year. These students earn a spot to work with a local business in the career field of their choice. We get the entire year with them! Just as they would have homework in school, they learn and have assignments with us. When the semester comes to an end, the fun begins! Angie has learned about patient care, preventive medicine, patient restraint, and some technical skills. Dr. Tarpalechee gave her a "day of a surgeon" experience. She learned to properly scrub and glove! She also learned how to suture! Because Angie has excelled in her student training, she got a treat today. Our team member brought her personal dog for Angie to try her venipuncture skills. ANGIE DREW BLOOD! The smile on her face is the reason we host students. 😁 We are thrilled that she is enjoying her time with us and we are so proud of her success!

Why did I eat that? 😕 This sweet big boy ate something he shouldn't have. After hanging out with us for a while, he got to go home with his people. The black stuff in the bowl is activated charcoal. It was a mess! Guess what? We don't mind the mess! We will do what needs to be done to get your pet feeling better AND we will make sure they are cleaned up before going home. If your pet eats something it shouldn't - do not try to treat at home. Please call us immediately. Sometimes we need to induce vomiting and sometimes inducing vomiting can cause more harm. Our doctors will know what to do! Have a great weekend and don't eat anything you shouldn't!
