Place/climb command can come in handy for different scenarios.
Can allow a dog who either doesn’t know what to do with itself to observe and learn as well a allow a dog who feels it always has to be doing something to rest.

SHAKE IT ALL OFF AND LET IT GO
Dogs constantly communicate through their body language. A “shake off” is one of the many types of body language and is one of the easier ones to notice. The shake off can provide us with important insights as to how our dogs are feeling.
Besides being a very effective way to get dry- (Dogs can remove up to 70% of water on their fur in one single shake off), the shake off is also often seen just after an event that a dog finds stressful. It’s their way of saying “Phew, I’m so glad that’s over, now I can put it behind me and move on”. It helps the brain to calm down, reset and is actually a very positive way to cope with stress. Maybe people could learn this method from dogs and begin practicing shaking it all off and letting it go!
The shake off may also happen just after waking up as a way to get blood pumping and the brain stimulated, a way to clean grass, debris or bugs off their fur or may sometimes indicate pain or discomfort.
If you notice a shake off, look at what has just happened beforehand. This will provide a clear clue as to what it is that your dog is finding stressful. Appreciate those shakes for what they can communicate. Your dog will appreciate your understanding of their language.

Bit of Monday humor.

With dogs comes a responsibility to the dog and other people.
Dogs have different personalities. Just like humans some can clash.
If we give them free reign we never know how it may affect another.

Good information. I have experienced a case where a dog had to have its name changed.

WHAT’S IN A NAME - SHOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR DOG’S NAME?
Changing a rescue dogs name is often in their best interests. If a dog has come from an unpleasant or abusive background, or even an unknown background, they may associate their name with negative experiences. A previous owner may have shouted their name just before doing something unpleasant to them. Changing a dog’s name can be a fresh, new beginning and can provide an opportunity to rebuild broken trust and build a firm new bond.
There may be concern that changing a dog’s name will confuse them or may cause some form of emotional distress, but dogs don’t see their names in the same way that we do. Dogs really don’t care if we call them “Fatty” or “Smelly”. It won’t give them a complex or make them believe they’re fat or that their digestive system could do with some adjustments! A dog’s name is more important to a person than it is to a dog. A name is really just a cue to get your dog’s attention and for them to respond to you when you call.
The way a new name is introduced and taught is important. Care should be taken not to attach any negative associations with the new name. This new name should always be paired with something positive whenever your dog hears this sound. Call the new name and every time your dog reacts, responds or looks at you, reward this with a treat, lots of praise, a game or a toy. Keep repeating this and dogs will quickly begin to associate their new name with good things happening and will start responding to the new sound in a positive way.
A previous name may always be linked to a traumatic past, but a new name should be the beginning of a happy ever after and forever home.

The takeaway, if want a pup to turn in to a well mannered, talented dog capable in many situations must interact with it.
Something I have noticed over many years of having dogs quoted by Steven R. Lindsay in Handbook of Applied Dog Behavior and Training, Vol. 1 “……in the succinct words of Hediger, “Good training is disciplined play” (1955/1968:139). Play and training are not contrary things, but complementary activities. If puppies or dogs cannot be shown the play in an activity, they will not willingly perform it for long. Nothing is more motivationally important in dog training than play.”

Doing so in early socialization period is one of most important aspects of a good relational foundation.

Taking the dog for a walk is one of the obligations of dog ownership, no bones about it. But what if you could get your dog to take you on a walk? Or rather, a ride?

Training takes time. Occasional maintenance so they stay in the habit is needed.
It doesn’t have to be rigid. Just an occasional command out of the blue and then let them go back to what they were doing.

Essler et al. show that as pack-living dogs and wolves react similarly to unequal outcomes, this response was not a trait that dogs evolved over the course of domestication. Their results support the hypothesis that inequity aversion is closely linked to the evolution of cooperation.
