Magnolia Trace Farm (MTF) is a small, family owned and operated farm located in the small town of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Now operating on approximately 370 acres (150 owned, 220 leased) - the farm has grown significantly since their launch in August of 2009. The farm is most known for it's registered herd of

Belted Galloway cattle, a unique heritage breed best known for their "Oreo Cookie" appearance. A traditional scottish heritage beef breed known for it's hardiness and easy keeping charateristics. Magnolia Trace Farm raises these cattle primarily for breeding stock, as well as small amount of locally raised beef. The farm is very active in the Belted Galloway community, showing cattle across the country from Mississippi to Kentucky and even Maine. Tripp strive to raise and present the highest quality of Belted Galloway breeding stock and try to feature a wide range of genetics suitable to any situation. In addition to their herd of Belted Galloway's, the Tripp family also raises a herd of 20 registered Brahman cattle and 25 commercial beef cattle primary use as receiptions for Brahman embryos. Several of the calves in these herds go to local youth as 4H and FFA projects and to be shown at local and state fair competitions. Much of the herd are very successful at all levels on competition. Off of the farm, the Tripp's are very active in their local and state livestock organizations. These organizations include Lincoln County 4-H, Lincoln County Jr. Livestock Assosciation, Mississippi Cattleman's Association, and Mississippi Junior Brahman Assocation.

Magnolia Trace is offering 2 ET haltered heifer lots at the Infinity Cattle and Deep South Cattle Sale Sat April 29. These heifers are from industry leader genetics and offered because we can't keep them all. These heifers are Sired by Mr V8 194/7 and there Dam is Miss V8 943/8.

We will be offering 4 lots in the up coming Deep South Sale in Meridian Mississippi. This lot is of a young bull Mr MTF Galaxy 11 he is out of Mr V8 996/7 (Vaquero) and Miss V8 931/8 Man of Steel daughter. Her has won Reserve Champion at The Jambalaya Classic in 2022 and Jackpot Junkies Showdown. He also placed 3rd in Houston in his class. If you want to add muscle, bone, correctness and pigment to your herd this is the bull for you.

Well another Houston Livestock Show in the Books. We only brought 3 and are coming home with a 7th place ribbon. But we had fun. I even got to show a heifer.

Southwest District Champion and Reserve Champion Gray Brahman Heifers. Miss V8 588/9 Champion and Edan Conn with Miss MTF Jessa 9 Reserve Champion Miss MTF Journi 10 2nd in class, 79's Miss 22/21 1st , Miss MTF Kandy 17 1st and Mr C-Ray 14/2 1st in class. Over all the kids did wonderful. Thank you to Caleb French, Ian Johnson and Cole Spencer for helping showing these girls.

The Sire to this award winning heifer is Mr V8 274/6 "George". The Dam to this heifer is Miss V8 538/8 who has won many Titles, Area 13 Supreme Champion Heifer, Dixie Jr National Champion Brahman 2 years running, Dixie Open Grand Champion heifer. Also to add her material sib won Reserve Champion intermediate Female at the International Houston Livestock Show. Her She is also bred to Mr V8 567/8 a son of Mr V8 380/6 "The Machine". She will add docility to your program. George is known thru the Brahman world as the Gentle Giant, he passes this on to his offspring as you will see with this heifer. This heifers Dam is one of our best Donor cows here at Magnolia Trace, so she has potential. Don't pass her up.
