Brookings Regional Humane Society The mission of the Brookings Humane Society is to improve the lives of companion animals and support those who care for them.

Brookings (South Dakota) Regional Humane Society is an adoption center for dogs, cats and other small companion animals. BRHS supports the spaying and neutering of animals in order to prevent the overpopulation of unwanted animals - all of our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered PRIOR TO adoption. The Brookings Regional Humane Society is a small local tax exempt non-profit 501C(3) charitable orga

We had a blast at Wooden Legs Brewing Company fancakes today! We *may* have snuck a couple fancakes out and treated the dogs! Blueberry are Lacey approved!

Weā€™re bursting at the seams with adoptable cats & juvenile kittens! And thatā€™s not even what is behind the scenesā€” like all of these kittens waiting to be big enough for spay/neuter PLUS all the mamas and kittens in our foster network! šŸ™€ Itā€™s been a great couple of weeks for adoptions but weā€™re still at 60+ cats and kittens and fielding multiple calls/emails a day to surrender more cats/kittens! Due to formula changes and active ingredient percentages, to properly keep clean our shelter clean, we can only use bleach with a 5% Sodium Hypochlorite or higher concentration. Most "Low Splash" or unlisted concentrations do not disinfect to the degree needed for a safe and healthy environment. And thatā€™s the mews.
