My sincere apologies to anyone who lives within, I don’t know, a 50 miles radius of our farm on Creamery Brook Road in Brooklyn. I know that we picked some really hot days to be spreading manure on one of our fields. Our hay wasn’t doing well in this field for some reason. We tested the soil and it needed some lime but that’s all. We decided that perhaps the soil was compacted because we had sod on it for several years so we will be planting corn in that field to see if it might help correct the problem. Back to hay again next year in that field.

We have a new rooster! He's beautiful. I will post a picture later today if I get a chance. I also have fresh eggs for sale. My girls are doing a great job, so I have LOTS of fresh eggs again. Special while supply is so abundant - $5 for 2 dozen eggs.

My chickens have almost totally recovered from their "molt." I now have a surplus of eggs, so we have a sale price of $2.50 while quantities last. Farm fresh eggs!

We still have eggs, butternut squash, acorn squash, and spaghetti squash for sale at the farm. No special hours that we are open, though. Just give me a call at 860-450-6744 before you come or blow your horn when you pull in the driveway. I still have some tomatoes - mostly cherry tomatoes.

My chickens are now laying anywhere from 8 to 12 eggs daily. I have plenty of fresh eggs for sale now. Just $3.00 per dozen - cheaper than the grocery store.

We have duck, chicken, and quail eggs for sale for $3.00 per dozen. Come to the farm and see where your eggs actually come from. And our birds eat "organic" weeds and veggies grown right here on our farm in addition to their grain. Why pay more at the store for less fresh eggs?

Great recipe to try. I substituted the mozzarella with chedder cheese crumbles and used Dreamfields penne to make this a dish that my husband (diabetic) could eat. It is delicious! And we sell the eggplant and tomatoes at our farm stand.
