This is why we pull dogs from the south.

Animal cruelty is commonplace.

Truck ran over a nursing mother dog (with trash around her neck likely from having to survive on the streets) and continued on like nothing happened.

Please consider supporting Southern Pup, one of our rescue partners in Mississippi. She rescued Harbor years ago and was my motivation for starting Safe Harbor Sanctuary. She does incredibly heartbreaking work every single day 💔

Bullwinkle 💙

This handsome guy was found as a stray in Georgia and was in rough shape 💔

He was SO thin, his coat was a mess, covered in scars and his tail had been de-gloved (and was bleeding everywhere). He has really turned around over the past few weeks 🥰

He is guessed to be around 2 years old and ~55lbs. He has put on weight, his coat is coming in nicely, his tail has healed and he is ready for his forever family 🐾

He has no idea how big he is, so we would recommend a home with older children. He cat and dog tested well at the shelter ❤️

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative and ready for his forever family! 🐶

Cinnamon 💕

This pretty lady was found running down a highway in Miami and lived at an outdoor shelter there for almost a year 💔

She loved playing with the other dogs there, but it was finally her turn to make the trip north and find her forever family 🥰

She is a bouncy girl and may accidentally knock a small child over, so we would recommend a home with older children! She LOVES treats. She knows how to sit and doesn’t have accidents in her kennel! She likes other dogs, but we would recommend a home with no kitties 🚫🐱

She around 2 years old and ~60lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4DX negative. She is so ready for a family of her own ❤️

This adorable little guy is just a peanut! Mom is 15lbs, Dad is unknown. He does good with other dogs, kids and kitties 💙

He was found in a storm drain in Georgia with his mom and siblings 💔

He will be ready for adoption after his neuter appointment 🐾

Today we were happy to continue our annual employee donations to Safe Harbor Sanctuary in Brooks, Maine. This local non-profit rescues animals from shelters and various places and works to place them in foster and permanent homes. We're proud to support their lifesaving work and remain committed to giving back to the communities—and creatures—we care about most. 💙

Her hobbies include: shredding paper towel tubes, carrying around her stuffed lobster “Larry” and snuggling on the couch 🦞

She loves other dogs, walks well on leash and would love a family to bring her on adventures! 🥾

She has exhibited some interest in the kitties in her foster home, so will require a dog savvy kitty or kitty free home 🐶

She is quiet and does well being crated. She is around 11 months old and 45lbs 🐾

She will be a beautiful addition to her forever family!! Her foster family is smitten with her ❤️

This handsome guy doesn’t understand why he hasn’t been chosen yet. He has been waiting patiently for 3 months 💔

He is 1.5 years old, around 60lbs and we are guessing him to be a boxer mix 🐶

He loves people and would love an active home! He would make a great walking or hiking buddy 🥾

He lived with kids and a cat previously, but is dog selective. Some dogs he likes, some he doesn’t 😢 We would recommend a home with no other dogs.

Valentine ❤️

There is a lot of personality squished into this short and long little body 🤣

She was found as a stray in Georgia. She was so thirsty she was digging up water pipes. She is a little survivor for sure 💔

She was terrified when she arrived, but has blossomed so much!! She is nervous of new people, but once she knows you she is your best friend 💕

She LOVES belly rubs, walks good on a leash and doesn’t have accidents in her kennel! 🐾

She is looking for a home without a lot of new people coming and going. She is not a big fan of other dogs and cats, so would like to be the only pet in her forever home 👑

She is guessed to be 2-3 years old and around 35lbs. Her front legs point outward and look like she has some basset hound, but we have no idea what mix she is 🤣
