Petey escaped from the farm! Where in the world was Petey yesterday afternoon? He was a few houses down on our street eating grass and not responding to our calls for him. Apparently there was some miscommunication about whether or not Nana’s gate was closed. We’ll be more careful next time. We were panic stricken for about 30 minutes. A special thank you to, Hernando Animal Enforcement Officer, Mandy Rowe for holding on to Petey (he would not go into the horse trailer) until we got there. Aaron on Nana’s Golf Cart and Jessie in her car helped escort him home (the picture is funny). His story was posted on the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office official website and now Petey is famous. We love our boy and we’re so happy to have him home. 🫏❤️
A couple videos of the morning riches
Everyone getting along great! So nice when that happens. These ducks are so pretty and sweet. Can’t get enough!! 🦆❤️
It doesn't get much better than snuggles and kisses from a donkey in the morning
Crispy apple munchies. Sweet Pea loves them
Shell’s back!My face is, for the most part, healed. Today Cowboy isn’t too happy with us because we took him away from all the girls. He was getting a bit overpowering with the whole herd so he gets some time alone today. Well not all alone Hammy is with him for now. We still love this handsome boy. 🐐❤️
Round bale refresh day! This is a sped up series of our security camera footage capturing our hard work of getting it in place. Where was Ayla when you need her? 😂 Normally we let Aaron’s makeshift ‘zero turn’ tractor do most of the work. But today the counter weight broke off mid-transport and instead of trying to fix at that moment we continued manually. That thing is HEAVY! Let’s make it fun. Who can guess correctly how much it weighs? The first to guess (and we will check both Insta and FB comments) closest to the approximate weight will win a Darby Farm T-Shirt. 🌾👎🫏🐐👕❤️
Pigs get thirsty when they run around the farm with their friends. 🐽❤️
