Hammy wanted to say hi!! 🐽❤️
Petey got a pedi! Correction in the video.. Petey hasn’t had a farrier (person who trims hoofs of animals primarily horses) VISIT in over a year. HE was the one that wasn’t good. Since Petey was around 5 years old when we got him and he was technically a rescue we were cautious when handling his feet. He’s still not crazy about us touching them but you see we’ve come a very long way. That took the efforts of all of us consistently picking up his feet and desensitizing him. Donkeys get the bad rap of being stubborn. They’re actually just cautious and don’t do ‘things’ if they think it will hurt them. A special thank you to our friends at Sweet Briar Farm for their help and guidance. We learned a few years ago that as first time farmers need to lean on other farm friends for advice and support. We stick together. 🦶✂️🫏❤️
Guess who moved out of our bathroom and into her own little condo? Yep! Baby Duck (still keeping that name because that’s what Melody calls her) moved out yesterday afternoon. She seems very happy with her new setup. 🏡🦆❤️

63?!! We will take it! Nice break in the temp today. Enjoy as I get snack attacked! 🐐❤️
We are truly blessed. Here’s Shell’s reaction to the property damage. So thankful to Jehovah that we, are animals and dwelling are untouched. ❤️
Just a quick view of how things are currently going at the farm. We still have power and internet and we’re so grateful because we’re able to keep an eye on the animals. Here’s a few seconds of footage of Petey and Hammy safe together in Petey’s stall. The footage shows a tree that came down and just missed the covering where Petey and Hammy are. Phew! That was close. All the goats are tucked away in their Goat Shack. Thank you to all who reached out to see how we are doing. There are a few big trees down in the yard so far and we expect more in the morning. Tonight we are taking a big breath of relief (almost through this) and tomorrow we start the clean up process. Praying all our family and friends come out of this ok. 🌀🚫🫏🐽❤️
