Barefoot performance horses - training and sales

We were looking for one last “Forever Horse” to add to our Horse family.
We had become extremely soured by all of the dishonest horse traders, brokers and outright scammers.
It is sad that the industry is so dishonest. We were ready to give up our search after 2 trips to Ocala from West Palm Beach and several other local trips in search of a specific horse
And then we came across Rachel from Copperstone Equestrian. It is refreshing that there is still some honesty and compassion remaining in the equestrian sales industry.
We identified our specific needs and Rachel was extremely helpful and honest in her description of a horse that would fit our particular needs. Every other dealer said that the horse they had was the “perfect fit”, and after months of searching and extremely long disappointing drives, none of them were even close to an honest description of what we were looking for.
After speaking several times with Rachel, she shared many photos with us, she even went out to the horses and sent a live video chat so we could see the horse interacting with other horses.
Rachel was extremely helpful in answering every question. She performed a lot of the tasks live that we would have done to see the beautiful Horse’s behavior. He was as calm and friendly as described. She was very patient with us as we needed to be very particular about our final horse.
Although we vowed to “never” make the long drive to be disappointed again, Rachel was so thorough and caring and unlike the others, that we decided to make the 4 hour trip again.
We arrived and everything was as described. “Jack” was as beautiful as pictured. Rachel had us bring him out of the stall and tack him up. We went through all of our examination of feet, posture, skin conditions, lifted all feet, groomed him and he was as calm as described.
We then took him out for a nice trail ride and obstacle course which was wonderful. We rode him over a bridge and he was just the perfect gentleman.
We were convinced that Jack was the right horse for us and we agreed to move forward with the sale procedure.
From start to finish, we found Rachel and Copperstone Equestrian Center to be extremely Honest, Patient and very helpful in the difficult process for such a picky buyer as us. We had been lied to by so many others and we found it extremely refreshing that there are still some good people in the business.
“Jack” adjusted to our home and his new horse family immediately as if he lived here his whole life. We are so happy that we chose him to be our forever horse.
