Parvovirus in puppies is a common disease with deadly consequences. This is why it’s so important for owners of young dogs to be fully aware of what parvo is, what the symptoms are and how to avoid it.

Our team in Ann Arbor, MI, is sharing some helpful information about parvo and why vaccinations are so important: "Parvovirus is extremely contagious, so Dr. Lee and Veterinary Assistant Brooke took precautions like wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid cross-contaminating between their patients. Parvovirus is preventable by a quick, inexpensive vaccine. Without the vaccine, your pet could end up in the ER after contracting the virus. If your pet has not yet been vaccinated for parvo, call your primary veterinarian and make an appointment with them ASAP."
