Our beef cattle operation was started five generations ago when John Thomas Craig bought a Hereford Bull in 1926. The “26” bull can still be traced in our cattle today. In 1949 the farm was named C-Curb Farm after the brand that was registered with the State of Mississippi. Even though C-Curb Farms has dabbled in other areas of agriculture, we have always maintained a female beef cattle herd promo

ted from within. In 1996, we purchased our first outside females in almost 50 years when we added some Long Horn female cattle to the mix. Through the years we have tried about every type of breed, but in 1997 purchased the first Red Brangus bull from M&M Farms (Hidden Creek) in Amory and found the breed that would take us into the next century. In 1999 as we celebrated C-Curb Farm 50th anniversary, we backed into the Registered Cattle business by purchasing a neighbors Register Red Brangus herd. This purchase has set the tone for us to follow for the next 50 years. Our Goal at C-Curb Farm is to provide the commercial cattleman with quality cattle at a reasonable price. This is done by insuring that all cattle sold by private treaty has the same qualities as our herd replacement and is offered at a fair price.

Looking forward to being at the Starkville Community Market tomorrow morning.

We are proud to support our Mississippi Junior program and have our cattle brand represented on this shirt.

Our Mississippi Junior Cattlemen have teamed up and created this awesome t-shirt with brands from all over the state as a fundraiser for their future activities. To support the MJCA by purchasing one or more of these shirts, please call the office at 601-354-8951. Shipping IS available for an additional $5+ fee (depending on how many shirts are being shipped). These are Short-Sleeve Comfort Colors Pocket T-shirts. Youth sizes ARE available but they do not have the pocket on front. MJCA logo is on the front (or front pocket) or all shirts and the large graphic below is on the back of all shirts. The shirt color is “blue jean”. Thank you in advance for your support and thank you to the brand owners that helped pay for the cost of the t-shirts ordered.

No doubt fall is in the air this morning. That can only mean that the first frost and old man winter isn’t far behind. Fall calves are arriving and glad we had a record hay cutting of just over 5 bales per acre. Now just need to get it moved and stored.
