🚨 Important Microchip Update 🚨

We want to inform our clients that the SaveThisLife microchip company has recently ceased operations. Since we have exclusively used SaveThisLife microchips, we recommend that any pet microchipped through our clinic should be re-registered with a participating pet recovery service registry for the AAHA Universal microchip lookup tool.

www.FreePetChipRegistry.com is a 24/7/365 free registry and recovery service.
www.buddyid.com is offering free registration until February 28th for those affected by the SLT shutdown.

Ceasing operations implies that the SaveThisLife microchip database will become unsearchable in the future which unlinks it from the national registry. We strongly recommend re-registering as soon as possible to ensure your pet's information remains accessible if they are ever lost.

🚨 Important Announcement for Rabbit Owners! 🚨

We’re pleased to announce that we now carry the RHDV vaccine to protect your rabbits from Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV)! This highly contagious and often fatal virus is a serious threat, especially here in Florida, where cases have been reported.

💉 Vaccination is the best way to protect your rabbit, but here are additional steps you can take to keep them safe:

Limit Outdoor Time: RHDV can spread through contact with wild rabbits and contaminated surfaces.

Practice Good Hygiene: Wash your hands and change clothes before handling your rabbit if you've been outdoors or in contact with other animals.

Control Insect Exposure: Fleas and flies can carry the virus, so keep your rabbit’s area clean and limit insect exposure.

Quarantine New Rabbits: Always quarantine new rabbits for at least two weeks before introducing them to your home or other pets.

Please call or text us to schedule your rabbit’s vaccination appointment or for more information on RHDV prevention. Let’s work together to keep our rabbit friends safe! 🐰❤️

Attention: We are open today in a limited capacity. We have power and will see our regularly scheduled appointments today. However, we still are without Internet for the foreseeable future. All calls are being forwarded to a single cell phone so texting is preferred for keeping our line clear. Additionally, without internet we can only process credit card payments through our texting platform - if you are not able to do that we recommend bringing cash or check. Please be patient with us while we continue to serve you in this difficult time! y

Due to Hurricane Milton, Three Oaks Veterinary Wellness Center will be closed on Wednesday for the safety of our staff and clients. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage everyone to stay safe during the storm.

We will be open Tuesday until 4pm.

🌪️ Hurricane Helene Update 🌪️

Due to the rapid intensification of Hurricane Helene we will be closed tomorrow. Animal Emergency of Hernando will be open all day, their number is 352-666-0904.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to be prepared, including your pets! Here are a few tips to help you get ready:

🐾 Pet Hurricane Prep Tips:

Ensure you have enough food, water, and medications for your pets for at least a week.
Keep your pet's ID tags and microchip info up to date.
Prepare a safe space inside your home or consider evacuation plans that include pet-friendly shelters. (Shelters may require proof of up to date rabies vaccination.)
Have a travel crate or carrier ready, along with blankets, leashes, and comfort items.
Stay safe, everyone, and give us a call if you have any questions or concerns!

We will only be open until 1pm.

This Friday, our clinic will NOT have a veterinarian on-site. We will only be open for Tech Appointments in the morning, which include:
🐾 Nail Trims (Pedicures)
🐾 Routine Ear Cleanings
🐾 A**l Gland Expressions
We will be open for medication and food pick ups until 5:30.
If your pet has an emergency or needs to be seen during regular business hours please reach out to one of the other fine veterinary establishments in the area or one of the 24 hour emergency clinics.

Our recommended after-hours clinics are:
Animal Urgent Care of Hernando County – Opens at 3 PM
Animal Emergency of Hernando – Opens at 5 PM
Pet Urgent Care of Wesley Chapel – Open 24 Hours

We encourage all clients to plan accordingly and seek assistance from these trusted facilities if needed. Feel free to call us with any questions!

Just a quick heads-up: our clinic will be closing early today at 1 PM. We do not have a doctor on site so are only open for food and medication pickups until then. Please call if you have any questions.

If you are having a veterinary emergency and it is before 5 pm please reach out to one of the other fine veterinary establishments in the area. If you experience a veterinary emergency after 5pm please proceed to Animal Emergency of Hernando or one of the other emergency clinics in the area.

We are planning on opening with regular business hours on Monday but please stay tuned for any updates.
