Proof of ownership must be presented when retrieving the animal.

TODAY WAS ANOTHER GREAT DAY!

We would like to thank all the HCSO employees, shelter employees, HCSO volunteers, and citizens who participated in CLEAN-UP DAY #2.

Together, we made amazing progress! THANK YOU!

We have received compliments, from almost everyone who walks through the door, regarding the cleanliness, orderliness, and the clean, fresh smell of the shelter - THANK YOU!

Things are falling into place very nicely and pets are getting adopted and/or reunited and that makes us very happy!

Next week, we will still be seeing customers by appointment only, as our shelter management software is not up and running yet.

We wanted to take a minute to THANK all of you for your help, support, well wishes, and overall interest in the animal shelter.

Our first day was a great day, very busy and very productive.

We are pleased to report that, even though we are still officially closed, we adopted out 13 new best friends today (dogs, cats, and chickens). Yep, you heard that right, 13 ADOPTIONS on our first day!

Starting January 2, 2025, the shelter will be open on the following days and times; however, we have not officially reopened just yet, as we are still in the middle of transitioning.

We plan to open within the next week or so.

Potential adopters are welcome to come in, we will make it work!

ANIMAL SHELTER CLEAN-UP DAY #2

Thanks to everyone who helped on our first shelter clean-up day.

We have scheduled the second, and hopefully final, clean-up day for FRIDAY, 01-03-25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This time, we will do it in TWO SHIFTS, to keep everyone from getting totally worn out.

We will need pressure washers again, please.

We have mops, buckets, scrub brushes, cleaning supplies and towels, etc. If there is something specific that you’d like to use, please feel free to bring it.

The shifts are listed below. Please send me an email if you plan to attend, and please indicate which shift you are planning to work. Thank you again, the animals and the humans appreciate all the work that is going into the shelter.

Please be sure to reply, so we can place you on a team. Thanks!
