Working your dogs together can be tough — sometimes they’re each other’s biggest distraction. That’s why I always start by teaching skills one‑on‑one before asking for anything in a group.

But if you live with multiple dogs, practicing as a group matters. It helps them learn how to use those individual skills in a real‑life setting, side by side with their siblings.

Watching this session back, I can see we need a little more individual stay practice before our group stays feel smooth. No stress — that just becomes the next step in our training plan.

We know how hard it can be to work through behavioral issues with your dog, but you got this! I think so many of us never stop to look back at just how much progress we have made- only focusing on the problem right now. Progress needs to be celebrated and when you can see just what you have accomplished it will give you the motivation to keep moving forward.
