Summer camp dates! I know these were long awaited so thank you for your patience!!

We can't wait for a summer of learning about horses and farm animals, lots of horseback riding (Western, English, bare back, trail rides), vet care, chicken races, weaving from wool off of our sheep, crafts, making ice cream, tie dye, obstacle courses with mini horses and so much more! The horses, minis, sheep and chickens are all ready for a fun summer of play!

Mini camps (targeted age 5 and under) $140

May 29/31 (Wed/Fri) 9 am - 11 am

4 Day Camps Mon-Thurs 9 am - 1 pm $375

June 24-27
July 29-8/1

5 Day Camps Mon-Fri 9 am - 1 pm $425

50% deposit at time of booking

Hope everyone had a great holiday! We are grateful for all the wonderful people we've gotten to spend time with this year and all the relationships that have been built between our awesome kids and sweet therapy horses! We couldn't do what we do without all of you. If you want to continue to support our therapeutic program remember that any donations made to our non profit this year can be a tax write off for next year! Also check out the programs we have coming up over break! Happy holidays and new year to all!

The first weekend of the Trot or Treat was a success! We had costumes, horseback trick or treating, mixing a potion in the cauldron to feed to the horses, face painting, arts and crafts, games and more! So much fun these last 2 days and more to come next weekend!

Golden horse at the end of the rainbow! Felicity is also known as Puppy Dog because she will follow you everywhere and lick you to death! Love watching this special horse build such important emotional bonds for so many students. We love our horses!

Lily and Brooklyn are excited to share we will be holding camp this week! The schedule will be a little different with Monday being 8-11 and the rest of the week (Tues - Fri) being 8-12:15. $90 for a drop in day or $400 for the week. Message me for a spot!

Interest post! I've had a couple families reach the out about holding a camp next week and I'm trying to see how many would be interested if I were to add one! Reminder that this weekend is the Neurodiversity Fair at Accelerated Schools in Denver! This will be a great opportunity to learn about all the different opportunities for kids of all abilities! I'm so happy to announce Ballard Equestrian is an official provider for Imagine Colorado! This means that we can offer our therapeutic riding services to a wider audience through the financial services of their program and accept CES waivers, etc! Our main goal is to connect as many people with horses as possible, especially in our special needs capacity, and this is going to help us make those services more accessible to all! Can't wait to keep growing this community of horse lovers of all abilities!

Getting our fluffy Easter friends ready for tomorrow! We have real life easter bunnies, day old chicks, fluffy sheep and miniature horse "bunnies"! Looking forward to our egg hunt, horse rides, crafts, raffle, and booth featuring equine therapy. $15 gets the whole family in! Hope to see you all there!

Easter Event and Fundraiser! We will have egg hunts, petting zoo, crafts, raffling off prizes and have lots of Easter activities! We will have booths explaining our therapeutic riding program and showing the different accommodations we are hoping to bring to our program to accomodate more special needs students! Come celebrate with us and support this program for our community!

Cold snowy day means no classes, so let's have some fun at home! Today's our first spotlight horse of the month! Every month we will highlight one of our lesson horses and today is Roxy!

Roxy is a quarter horse in her mid 20's. We can't be exactly sure of her age since she was adopted from a rescue a number of years ago. After Roxy was adopted she spent some time as a trail horse and once her family couldn't take care of her anymore she was going to head back to the rescue so we decided to take her instead. She is loving her second life here and is definitely one of our smartest horses! We know that because we have had to add rope to all the gates she can open! Roxy loves treats and was Cookie Monster for Halloween. We have even found her inside the tack room munching on anything she can find! She is a summer camp favorite and we always have to do rock paper scissors to see who gets to ride her first. She has the smoothest trot in the world making her the best to ride ba****ck, especially since she is the chubbiest! We love having Roxy, even if she does like to open gates and steal cookies.

Camp Dates are here!

Campers will ride the horses every day, trying out western, english and ba****ck! They will also learn to care for the animals through feeding, grooming, a vet unit, farrier unit and more! They will get to interact with the sheep, chickens and mini horse as well. We will be learning about gardening, using sheep wool and other homestead activities. At the end of the week the kids will put on a parents show to show off their new riding skills and all campers will get a t-shirt! There will also be an advanced camp for those who are already trotting independently.

We have had a lot of people asking this year so thanks for being patient! We will also be doing our spring break camp again this year so here are our dates!
