So much fun at camp this week! We still have drop in spots!
Cold snowy day means no classes, so let's have some fun at home! Today's our first spotlight horse of the month! Every month we will highlight one of our lesson horses and today is Roxy!
Roxy is a quarter horse in her mid 20's. We can't be exactly sure of her age since she was adopted from a rescue a number of years ago. After Roxy was adopted she spent some time as a trail horse and once her family couldn't take care of her anymore she was going to head back to the rescue so we decided to take her instead. She is loving her second life here and is definitely one of our smartest horses! We know that because we have had to add rope to all the gates she can open! Roxy loves treats and was Cookie Monster for Halloween. We have even found her inside the tack room munching on anything she can find! She is a summer camp favorite and we always have to do rock paper scissors to see who gets to ride her first. She has the smoothest trot in the world making her the best to ride bareback, especially since she is the chubbiest! We love having Roxy, even if she does like to open gates and steal cookies.
If you have any pictures of Roxy feel free to post them in the comments!
