About Town Class
The dogs had a great field trip to Moncus Park this morning! We worked on leash skills, focusing with distractions, and exposure to all the activity around us. Big shout out to our walking wonders! They rocked it! Everyone worked hard with all the excitement going on at the park!
We worked on engagement exercises , luring , and heel work while on leash.
Then we took our new skills and put them to the test while enjoying a walk in the park!
There were lots of excitement , distractions , and other things we worked on while there! It was a great opportunity!

Join Kaiya and I for our workshop to help bring the Zen back into your walks around the neighborhood! We will teach you how to communicate more effectively with your dog while out for a walk. We will focus on getting eye contact and motivating your dog to stay close as well as balancing walks with enrichment time.

Did you know that dog socialization isn’t just them playing with other dogs?🤯
Here, we have Mr. Griffin & Miss Stella doing an exercise known as sit on leash. The end goal is for both pups to settle on their own; without anyone guiding them into the down position. We call this “conditioned calm,” and it helps dogs learn that they are still able to be present and calm in various environments. In this case, they’re both working on socialization with other pups, while also learning to manage their impulses🐾.
