Posting to show the progression of a maturing kitty within the first year.. some kittens will have a glorious coat when young but when the hormones hit, it is very common for their coat to do lots of shedding! With a bit of time, the big mane and luxurious coat Maine C***s are known for will grow in. Spaying/neutering will also help this coat progression along. Be patient with your developing coon… they are a slow growing breed which does not reach full maturity until around 5 years! 🖤
