Luna went to the vet yesterday!!

What started off as a small scab turned into a massive skin wound on the top of her head 🥲. We went through 5 different cones (3 soft, 1 donut, and a soft cone). All of them she was able to destroy and get out of. We hate seeing this girl in so much pain. She was on anitifungal and antibacterial mouses, antibiotics, nothing was working for Luna.

Many of you know Luna suffers from Demedex (a form of mange puppies get from their moms) and Anemia. Which puts her at a higher risk of skin infections and having a harder time healing from them. She had an appointment at the vet for Thursday but yesterday she took a turn for the worst and we brought her in ASAP.

Thankfully the vet is fully confident that she will make a full recovery! She was given a new type of antibiotic and is now getting a lime sulfur bath once a week.

We DESPERATELY need funds! Donations are slowing to a halt but unfortunately our expenses are staying the same.

Luna going to the vet yesterday, and with very little left we canceled Marley’s spay appointment for today. It breaks our heart but we simply don’t have enough funds for both.

Good morning! ☀️

We wanted to take a moment to share a quick pack update since it’s been a while. It's a great way for you to see what’s happening in our rescue!

Yesterday, Benji and Beanie went to their foster homes and are settling in fabulously! Meanwhile, Glenda loves to follow us around the house, making sure we’re not leaving her behind ❤️.

We have some important updates: Marley is scheduled for her spay surgery on the 14th—she's officially taking the “no puppies” pledge (yay!). And Luna has a vet appointment this Thursday. She's been scratching the top of her head raw and has managed to escape every cone we've put on her—whether hard or soft. This girl is quite the escape artist! 🤣😭

We’re happy to report that Hope’s bronchitis has cleared up, which means she is ready for her spay and tumor removal surgery.

In an amazing turn of events, this month we owe the Veterinary Medical Center of Athens NOTHING! We’ve paid off our nearly $300 vet bill! 🥳

However, this means our funds are quite low for food and for Marley and Luna’s upcoming appointments at Chandler Vet. We need to cover the costs on the day of their visits, so we could really use your support. Whether through donations or purchasing items from our wishlist, every little bit helps! The water was so brown🤢🤮. Pictures do not do Glenda justice. She is only 22 lbs and an absolute cuddle bug!

Benji (white male puppy) & Beanie (all black female adult) got a bath in who knows how long!! Benji was COVERED in dead fleas (thankfully no live ones) and both were absolutely filthy.

Beanie is slow starting to warm up, she came up to lick our hand while we were bathing Benji and we almost sobbed😭. She is absolutely a sweatheart.

Both are drying off now and we can’t wait to update their pictures as they get into their foster homes and open up!❣️🥰

These pups are currently at Athens Animal Services. We would love to pull them so that they can experience the joys of being in a home. Most are under 25 lbs!!! (With the exception of a couple).

PLEASE foster one, we provide everything you may need for them including their medical. They are all so sweet and desperate to get out.

Our most recent tags from Athens. They are so precious and tiny. Beanie is even smaller in person than her pictures make her seem and is just slightly HW positive.

We have changed Dexters name to Benji (as we already have a Dexter). We hope to pull more from the Shelter.

An update on Jessie!❣️

This cutie pootie LOVES to cuddle. Like seriously he is the perfect lap dog. With the cold weather he has been using a potty pad and has been doing great! But he also does well going outside to potty.

Jessie is a male 3-4 month old Schnauzer Mix, and is expected to stay pretty small. He is neutered, UTD on his shots and preventions. He does well with other dogs of all sizes and cats. He also love to army crawl up to toddlers to make himself less scary! (Although who could be scared of this sweet boy??)

Mama is more than ready for her forever home! This sweet girl came to us heavy pregnant and with a nasty skin infection. She has been begging to get into her forever home since. But sadly for this sweet girl she has had little to no interest at adoption events, or from our posts about her.

It’s shocking because Mama truly is a great match for a lot of people. Mama is great with other dogs and cats. Does fantastic with younger children! Is kennel trained, housebroken, and walks well on the leash (after she gets over the excitement of being on a walk😝).

She is spayed, & UTD on her shots and preventions. To adopt Mama or to foster-to-adopt Mama please message us.

We have contacted Athens Services about tagging these two little sweeties. We saw their pictures and our hearts just shattered. Beanie looks like she feels so hopeless looking through the bars of the kennel. Dexter eyes were screaming at us to come get him.

Beanie is 2 years old while Dexter is 12 weeks. They desperately need a foster to be patient with them and give them a space to grow into being the good pups we know they can be.

This sweet girl LOVES nestling under your arm to get pets. She is available for adoption but would do best in a home with CALM animals, and children.
