We could use large breed puppy food if anyone has any to spare!

Meet Duke and Diane.
Duke and Diane are not available for adoption as they are still healing and recovering. They have a long road of weight gain before I am comfortable fixing them and adopting them out. These two have spent their entire lives in a small metal pin outside. Upon intake Duke was 39lbs and Diane was 32lbs. They are estimated to be a year-old great Danes/Great Dane mixes. Its currently hard to tell if they are pure Dane due to the severe emaciation. They are picking weight up, but puppy food would help them get the nutrients needed that they have lacked for so long...

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter: 150 East State Road 250 Brownstown Indiana 47220. We are located directly behind the sheriffs department in Brownstown!

Meet Mara!

Mara is estimated to be 5 years old! Mara is the sweetest fluffiest good girl you will EVER meet!! Mara does have a microchip, but when we reached out to her old owners, they would rather her be euthanized than take her back. They claimed that she is dog aggressive, but Mara has passed all dog tests in the shelter with FLYING colors! She loved the vet staff and hasn't met a stranger! Mara is truly a dream dog. She is short and stout with fluffy pants! She keeps a very clean kennel, so we assume she is potty trained!

Mara is spayed and fully vaccinated and looking for her new forever home. One who won't throw her away like trash... If you are interested in Mara please reach out at 812-358-2141 option 4 for animal control!

Meet Miley! Miley is estimated to be around a year old. She is a very shy girl who takes a moment to get used to you! In a fight or flight situation, Miley will always choose flight. She takes some coaxing to get her to come to you. Once she warms up, she is like a puddle. She is such a lover once she trusts you! Miley is 33lbs! Fully vaccinated and spayed!

If you are interested in Miley, please reach out at 812-358-2141 option 4 or message us!!

Meet Howie. Howie has had a rough year. Howie has been with us for a little over 3 months now. Healing, recovering and gaining weight. I finally feel like he is healthy enough to join his forever family. Howie is estimated to be between 7-8 years old. Howie was found cold and alone in the cemetery. Howie was skin and bones and you could see fleas crawling all over him. Howie had little to no hair on his back when he was brought in. Howie still doesn't have alot of hair. He is still working on growing everything back. The fleas severely damaged his coat. Howie still tends to chew on himself in the kennels. We aren't sure if its habit or kennel anxiety. But he will chew on himself until he bleeds. Howie still has a decent recovery ahead. He is still on the skinny side but he looks SO much better than before. Howie absolutely loves people. He has done amazing with kids and other dogs! Howie knows how to sit and how to shake! He takes treats as gentle as can be and he knows exactly where his kennel is when he comes in from outside. Howie does tend to cry in the kennels. He has shown a lot of kennel anxiety and will sit there and carry on for hours. But once you get him out, he is quiet and content.

If you are interested in giving Howie his forever home please call me at 812-358-2141 option 4 for animal control or message us here! Lets find this boy a soft place to land🥰
