Husky -Shepherd hybrids
Punisher being walked by his 17 year old owner after only two days with me. Both dogs, I especially Yankee, would pull towards the sound of the other dogs barking behind the fences. Feeding time was no fun and the destruction had already begun. This family follows directions to the “T”.
17 years ago I trained this couples mini schnauzer and their mother’s pit bull. I am honored that they called me back so many years later…after thinking that they had become “cat people”.
They say that it’s the little things in life that make us happy…Believe that!
Thank you guys!!!
Maverick
Hey guys! Meet Maverick. His owner is i. Her seventies. He was a little ball of fire. Modified obedience. Calm. Happy. Controlled. Obedient. That’s what I do. These are pets, not competitors. This is obedience. Not YouTube nonsense.
Buffy the taboo dog…Grrr!!!
The past is in the past and the future is now. What kind of future do you want with your dog(s)?
Before you bring your puppy home, you have a bed for it, doggy dishes, toys, harness and leash, and four or five different types of “treats”. One out of 40 calls is from an expected owner who is practicing diligence, looking for information about training. It is just too easy to get “rid” of a dog, once you have allowed/created it to be such a nuisance. It’s because he/she (fill in the blank) or (go ahead and fill that blank too) Try to think of any excuse…believe me, I’ve heard them all.
Torres K9 Academics provides solutions not excuses. Over the past 30 years, having helped thousands of dogs and their owners, I have developed an easy to follow program. This year I will be taking time to explain the psychology…the WHY your dog responds, willingly, to my communication as oppsed to yours.
Make training your dog part of this new year’s resolution. Resolve to understand your dog’s psychology. Let Torres K9 Academics show you how.

Hey guys!
Viper is a 5 year old Labrador/German Shepherd. Just about everyday of his life has been done wrong…and I say that in the most non-judgement way. Never been on a leash. Never been for a walk. Never been bathed. He’s never been “forced” to do anything, except stay in his home where he gets to do nothing but get worse. But his owner loves him…and that’s all anybody should think about. Nothing more to see here.
But the reality is much, much different than the idea that “everything is ok”. As with anything in life, we never know when our last day will be. What plans do you have for your dogs in the event that something happens to you? Do you have a plan for euthanasia? Do you have a rescue lined up? Has a neighbor agreed to take them, worst case scenario? Have any family members stepped up? Depending on your dog’s behavior, your options may be limited. Maybe you have no plan in place and that hard decision will be left to others who are not as invested.
I have always said, all dogs should be trained in basic obedience at the very least. If you do not plan on having your puppy or dog trained, you are saying that whatever happens, happens. Bring the drama!!! And that seems to be the most prevalent mindset, today.
It doesn’t have to be that way. You do not have to stay in the fantasy horror and suspense of not knowing and not trusting your own dog. Have aplan. Create a vision. Call Torres K9 Academics to help you make it a reality. Results are guaranteed!!

Hey guys! Meet Riley! Awesome little girl 😁❤️🐕🦺
Patience. Persistence. Praise.
Hey guys! This is Samantha the beautiful blond GSD. She started off as a very young puppy showing signs of being antisocial. She is 2 years old now and those signs have developed into in particular separation anxiety and fearful aggression. She also has a very high prey drive towards cats. After a few sessions she is much better now. As well as she performs in this video she still has a long way to go and she is getting there. She has great owners who do their homework and have learned to communicate with her effectively bringing about a more balanced and better behaved dog.

Hey guys! Meet little Paxton...
He was just getting started. His basic obedience and behavior modification went very well. Still a very young pup but highly capable. It will be interesting to see what becomes of him. 😂
In this video you will see small corrections (taps) using the chain. I equate it to a pull on someone's sleeve when you are trying to get their attention. His reaction or lack of adverse reaction is indicative of the little force that is necessary when a correction is communicated. Persistence and repetition is all that is necessary...not force. Where an aversion needs to be created, a more forceful, meaningful or effective correction is necessary.

Hey guys! Things have been pretty crazy lately. Staying busy is essential. Meet Beautiful Hannah! She is such a good grrrl!!! As stated in the video she has not received any type of leash handling in about three years. I did the typical six weeks of obedience along with behavior modification. To this day she remembers everything. A little rusty but as far as I am concerned... she is doing excellent.
