SPAY AND NEUTER SPONSORS NEEDED : We were alerted to a situation at a local gas station by a Facebook post yesterday. We have spoken to the spay and neuter clinic and have gotten the approval to add ferals to our spay/neuter run. We count 18 alone in the video. For each feral, we need a sponsorship of $75. This is to have the cat fixed, rabies vaccinated and ear tipped (to ensure people can identify that it has been TNRed). Spaying and neutering these cats will ensure the population does not continue to grow. We will set traps Wednesday night and will take as many as funds allow.
We plan to evaluate any kittens trapped to see if they have a chance to be tamed and homed as house cats. For anyone interested in adopting a feral after they are fixed, please message our page. We will provide crate, supplies and advice to help acclimate cats to their new environments. Any cats that are not homed will be returned to the colony, as we cannot safely house feral cats.

***We still lack $250 to cover today’s food runs and $600 for tomorrow. Babies, like this litter of 10, depend on us to keep their bellies full. Please share and help us reach our goal to cover the 5 pallets of food. ***
Urgent Donations Needed : Empty bowls mean hungry tummies 😢 Our dog food run was postponed until tomorrow and Tuesday, but it was a blessing in disguise. Instead of 3 pallets of food, we will be picking up 5! That makes our hearts so happy because we have so many mouths to feed. We were feeding 600 lbs per day, without the addition of 3 nursing moms. So these dog food runs are more important than ever. We raised just over $200 of the $600 needed for the first run and now we need another $600 for the second run. So we need $1,000 total - which wouldn’t even cover one pallet in at our local stores, much less 5. Please share and help us raise funds to make sure our rescue dogs have full tummies and happy hearts ❤️

Heartworm Treatment Needed : Connor came into our program from a local shelter. Poor Connor ended up there at no fault of his own. His owner passed away and there was no one to take him in 😭 Connor was well loved and despite the best efforts of the shelter staff, the hard concrete floors were taking their toll on this big guy. So we pulled him for foster and he has been doing amazing. Connor is great with other dogs of all sizes, cats and children. He knows how to play fetch - and will even bring you the ball when you don’t throw it too far 😂 After all, chonky boys don’t need to run too far in this Alabama heat 🤷♀️
The only thing holding Connor back from his forever home is heartworm treatment. Connor is a big guy, so heartworm treatment runs around $600 with the 30 day pretreatment. Please consider helping us sponsor Connor’s treatment so this sweet boy can go on to his better forever ❤️
