Cooper's Stick

Copper's mom called yesterday because he just wasn't "right". There was nothing about his behavior that was screaming emergency but he was suddenly not acting like himself and she was concerned. Thanks to her quick action and an evaluation by licensed veterinary technician Abby, and Dr. Charles Ellithorpe, the answer became very clear. Copper, a stick lover, had one lodged just under his tongue. While not common, this is something we see from time to time in dogs who play with sticks. We were however surprised by the length, which was just under 6 inches. This sweet boy went home just a few hours later and is expected to make a full recovery. ❤

Bailey, a sweet 12 year old Golden Retriever is just loving his spa day with Kaleigh at Bath-Brunswick Veterinary! He's going to ring in 2021 in style!
