Pancreatitis, choking, GI obstructions, toxicosis, and severe vomiting+diarrhea are common urgent cases we see around holidays such as Thanksgiving.

Feeding human food, even in small amounts, can be dangerous to your pet.
Be sure to avoid these foods with both cats and dogs:
- Fatty foods such as butter, grease, drippings/skins
- Bones
- Onions
- Garlic
- Raisins/Grapes
- Chocolate
- Bread dough
- High salt content
- Corn cobs
- Lillies (not food but extremely toxic and potentially fatal for cats if touched or ingested!)

**Make sure to secure your garbage when the meal is finished so your pet doesn’t gobble up all of those leftovers while you are taking your post-turkey nap!**

Our veterinarians say the best way to celebrate with your pets is to serve their usual food in a special holiday dish, let them wear a festive sweater, or buy seasonal treats and toys 🐾 🤍 🍁

**We will be closed on Thursday, 11/27/2025. We will reopen on Friday, 11/28/2025**

It's getting chilly! 🥶Cold weather can affect your pet's joints, skin, activity, and routines. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet for wintertime:
- Provide a warm and cozy space off of the floor and away from drafts
- Sweaters or jackets are great for short-haired, small or senior pets
- Limit your pet's time outside in the extreme cold
- Some pets' nutrition needs might change during the winter. Talk to your vet if you think this might be the case.

Annual physical exams allow our veterinarians to create a health baseline for your pet. This makes it easier to recognize what is "normal" for your animal 🐾
What does a veterinarian check during a physical exam?
- Weight and body condition
- Eyes
- Ears
- Heart health
- Lung sounds
- Teeth
- Joints
- Skin, Coat, Nails
- Vaccination schedule
- Parasite screening
- and much more!

Annual physicals allow for the early detection of health problems and provide an opportunity for the veterinarian to catch subtle signs of illness that owners may miss.
Our doctors can provide tailored advice based on your pet's age, lifestyle, and breed! 🐩
This proactive care is crucial for catching conditions before they become serious, ensuring a longer, healthier life for your pet. 💕

You can always count on us to help make sure your pet is living their happiest and healthiest life possible.
