Handsome man Indy has got that swagger and attitude😍 He wears an unenthused look most of the time. It's almost an 'I'm all that and you know it' look. He comes around when he wants attention and affection and off, he goes into the sunset when his independent trait calls. He is wonderful with everyone and dogs. On the rare occasion that he doesn't like another dog, his husky voice comes out. Other than that, he barely barks. Indy, named after Indiana Jones for his adventurous and independent streaks, is an angel to walk on a leash. He takes his time, keeping pace with you. Off leash, he gallops like a horse when he has a ball to chase or when he is running towards you. Indy can be a bit of a tease. Sometimes, he runs towards you like he hasn't seen you in ages and can't wait for your hug, but then he quickly swerves off and avoids you altogether. You are left hanging, Yes! Now, butt and behind the ear scratches, he will never turn down. 😁

Indy is 2 years old, 50lb Husky. He is looking for a family who offers up cuddles, hugs and affection when he wants it and time to do his own thing when he feels like it. He is always up for adventures and a good time. An outdoorsy, active family would be great! Indy is wonderful in a crate. He lays down and just chills. He is a grazer.

Look at this face ❤ and the snorts and farts that come with it 😊Tell me you don’t want to take him home! Louie will fill your life and home with so much love and joy, you won’t even know what to do with yourself! Known for his unrefined antics aka shoves his butt in your lap, leans into your face like he is giving you a kiss and then he sneezes, or you’re having a sweet moment cuddling and then he farts. Yeah, your life will not be the same again. Louie is too social with dogs. He sometimes plays a little too rough and scares them away :{ He doesn’t know how to regulate and slow down. You’ll have to do it for him. He takes his plays very seriously. Toys, oh please throw them Louie’s way. He is a sucker for toys. Loves them! He chases a ball around or plays tug and fetch. He could play for hours 😊The adorable noises he makes

What a perfect puppy for being barely 4 months old! Nanook is relatively calm, except when he sees a dog he wants to play with, he will pull to go towards the dog 😊 He is not much of a barker, can’t say how he will be when he finds his voice 😊He is in tune with his humans, always prefers to stay close. When on a walk and unsure of the surroundings, Nanook moves closer to you as if to say, I trust you human, protect me! If you are both sitting, relaxing, and he hears something he is unsure of, he moves into your lap, trusting that you got his back 😊 So sweet! Nanook loves to engage with his humans, cuddling or playing. He sure loves his humans ❤ Named after the mystical polar bear of the North, this baby husky appears to bear the same mystical skills. He is always watching, observing but rarely making a fool of himself except when he wants to play with another dog.

Nanook is 3.5 months old, currently 25lb Husky. He would love to find him a person he can follow around and go on adventures with. Resident dog(s) is much welcomed!

Burgers! Tattoos! Dogs!

Today is our Applebees fundraiser! Please feel free to come down and join us today for the dogs! We will be handing out temporary tattoos as a thank you. Enjoy a burger and support our furry friends. I'm sure if they could come down and eat they would😂 maybe next time pups! Have a meal for them instead!!

Sweet, adorable Lulu is a happy girl today! Look at that smile🥰 She is being adopted today!! Here she is hanging out with her bestie, Emmy, before her family comes to pick her up ♥️

This girl gets an A++ for being adorable, cute and the bestest personality! That face ♥️ Makes you want to smoosh your face into hers and smother her with kisses. Bonnibelle will return it 10-fold! BonBon is an aggressive lover. Don't let that sweet face fool you. If she sees you sitting down, she will make a beeline for you, throwing herself into your space and then lathering your face with her not so refined kisses. Next, she may invite herself to stretch across your lap. Ready or not, BonBon is coming for you! Another adorable thing she does is her crazy Chewbacca screams when she sees her meals being prepared 😅 Oh wait, there's more. When she gets a high value treat that is going to take her a while to work on, she gallops with it, to a 'safe', quiet spot to enjoy, usually a bed 😅 This girl sure loves her food and treats! She is currently at a healthy 55lb 👍 BonBon walks rather well on a leash except when she sees something interesting, then she pulls a bit to get there quickly. She is friendly with most dogs except when they behave rudely like barking at her. BonBon will tell them off.

BonBon is 5 years old, 55lb Bulldog mix. She is looking for a home where she can lay around, relaxing while soaking up all the cuddles. Car rides, walks and butt scratches will sweeten the pot :) Make that plenty of butt scratches! Bon is crate trained (although she prefers not to be in it but in your lap or beside you instead) and appears to be house trained.

On Saturday January 11. 2025 from 11am-11pm Buckeye's Mission and Sanctuary will be hosting a fundraiser at the Applebee's location at 1421 Town Center Blvd in Brunswick. Buckeyes Mission receives no funding from any government municipality and relies on private donations and fundraising events to keep the shelter operational. Buckeyes has helped thousands of dogs over the last seven years. Please consider supporting our cause on Saturday January 11th. Please forward this flyer and thanks for your continued support.

Update-----For those of you stopping down on Saturday at the Brunswick Applebee's, we will be giving out some awesome dog temporary tattoos. (while supplies last) We will also be selling raffle tickets for our "Boozing with Bucks Raffle Basket and another Raffle Basket filled with fun stuff like- Paint your own Pyo Bulldog Lamp and other items.

Emmy - Talk about a rare find! Sweet Emmy encompasses everything that is rare and beautiful. Emmy is such a gentle, sweet soul. She is affectionate and attentive. She loves your attention yet goes about soliciting it so politely and gently. She melts into you when you accommodate her request ❤ She follows you around, taking in everything that you do and embracing every moment of it because she adores you and everything about you. Emmy is wonderful with people and dogs. She walks rather nicely on the leash. She is crate trained and keeps a rather clean kennel.

Emmy is 6 years old, 35lb Mini Labradoodle. She is looking for a quiet home where she can just hang out with her humans. Flea market, patio dining, walks, lazy couch days, she is all in.

Molly - Little Ms Molly ❤❤❤ what a cute little angel! She loves human attention. Nothing pleases her more than being held in your arms and carried around, or comfortably nestled in your lap, being petted. She loves, loves being pampered and spoiled. If she is on the floor, you will find her most times standing on her back legs, front legs pawing at you to be lifted into your arms. Good thing she is only 12lbs! Molly is wonderful with people and dogs. Never mind her 12lb frame, she approaches the big dogs with no fear! 😊

Molly is 2 years old, 12lb Maltipoo. She is looking for a family to spoil and pamper her. She makes a good companion and a traveling partner. Land, sea, or air!

This girl is the perfect date! Whenever Elsa is in your company, she likes to hold hands ❤😊Be it at the vet’s office, or chilling on the couch. She has so much love to give. You are her world. When she meets you, she happily gallops over to you. When she is close enough, she suddenly flops herself on the ground and exposes her belly. That is your cue to give belly rubs. Her favorite! Elsa is also a fan of toys. She likes to roll around with them. She is such a goof! Elsa is one of the sweetest pups we have the privilege to care for. You can’t help but melt when you are with her. She makes you feel so special😊When out and about, Elsa pays attention to her surroundings. She likes to know what is going on. Sometimes, she quietly surveys the environment, sometimes, she patrols the surroundings. When she determines that all is well, she comes right back and sits by you. Sometimes, she likes to back her t**h into you for butt rubs as if proud of herself for making sure all is safe and well and expects a reward for her efforts😊Elsa walks well on the leash. She is friendly with most dogs unless they approach her rudely, in her face. One of Elsa’s hidden talents is fence climbing. If you have a 4ft or less fence, be mindful that she doesn’t show up at your neighbors’ parties uninvited!

Elsa is 4 years old, 65lb German Shepherd. She is looking for a home where she can be a companion to her humans. Go where they go, be where they are, hold hands whenever possible.
