There are two Purina Horse Feeds I wish folks knew more about - Impact Pro Senior & Impact Pro Performance.

Impact Pro Senior is a great, economic alternative to the well known Equine Senior. It's a complete feed (meaning built in forage) for horses with less than ideal dentition/grinding surfaces or a horse struggling with digestion issues.

Impact Pro Performance is a phenomenal performance horse feed that adds plenty of bloom and shine with its high fat & amino acid profile. Check out the before and after photo of a young gelding we switched from 4 # Pro Force Fuel to 4 # Impact Pro performance!

Have you noticed chewed up Quids in your horses stall, or around the feeders? If your horse is chewing up and spitting out wads of hay/saliva, it's time to add a complete feed to their diet. Complete feeds replace hay/forage in the diet that your horse is missing by spitting out hay! Equine Senior and Impact Senior are my first go to feeds when I see Quids.

It's a great time of year to head out to the feeder, sit back, and watch. Now I know it's cold outside and this isn't the most fun job in the world (better than watching paint dry though!) But do your horse a favor by checking the ground for quids while watching them chew. I've met a few horses the last two weeks with poor toplines - and this was one of the first things we noticed by taking a trip out to the bale feeder.
