Looking for potential feedback.

One of our personal pups is still not potty trained, and we need more washable p*e pads. These are typically about $15 each on Amazon at the cheapest I've found.

However, temu has incontinence pads for people's beds at about $6-7 per pad, and the would be big enough to fit under his kennel. Has anyone tried incontinence pads from temu? I hate to spend extra money on something the dog is literally going to just p*e on and rip up, but I want to make sure the pads actually absorb too. A bit of leaking isn't an issue, as the dog room has bare concrete floors and can easily be mopped.

Speaking of mopping, big shout out to Cherie Hoke for sending us 2 bottles of angry orange concentrated cleaner! This stuff is amazing for both mopping the dog room floors, and keeping in a spray bottle to clean up bodily fluids from the pups. Plus it smells great! 10/10 recommend.

Positive news of the day: Bowie is feeling SO much better already! For those that don't know, we recently took Bowie to the vet to update his shots and get him checked for an ear infection. He wasn't showing all the typical signs, like a lot of head shaking. But he stopped wanting to eat his food and was grumpy w the younger dogs that are still hyper puppies. Sure enough, he had a bad ear infection. So we had his ears cleaned out and antibiotic ear packs put in.

Today, Bowie is eating well, amd extremely playful and goofy. Hes been bouncing around like he's a puppy. Though he is currently napping in the middle of the floor. Because why sleep on a fluffy bed when you have cold concrete to sleep on? But he's at least resting peacefully.

We mostly have toys listed. A fee things for potty training are still on the list, but not as high priority as we don't have any small puppies at the moment.

We will be adding 2 kennels to the list soon, as 2 of the ones we purchased earlier this year are already damaged. Fair warning, avoid the Amazon basics kennels if you can. They don't hold up very well.

Good morning BCS! Up early, coffee is brewed strong, and the dog rotation is started early. It's going to be a good day! You know another reason it's going to be a good day? Lately, I've been getting notifications that we have a couple more new views each morning. Which means yall have been sharing our posts and helping us reach more people. Thank you!!! We couldn't do this without the support of our community.

I should be updating our Amazon wishlist today(finally). It's been a little hectic lately. One of the items we are in need of is toys, as we haven't had any donated in a while and we have some heavy chewers. So I wanted to put out feelers for gently used toys as well. We can sanitize and use toys that you may want to part with if you're local.

Another item we can always use is dog food. However, it's twice as expensive on Amazon at almost $60 versus the $29 at our local Walmart. So if you'd like to donate dog food, we can give you the delivery address via pm, accept cash donations via PayPal or cashapp, or meet you at a local Walmart to pick it up. Because I'm a frugal person, I say that there is no sense in paying double the price. That extra money could an extra bag or multiple toys.

Updating your bath towels for the holidays? Please consider donating your old towels to us, another local rescue, or the shelter instead of throwing them out. The same can be said for old blankets/comforters. We can use them as a nice washable bedding for the dogs.

Also, please share our request for deer antlers with your local hunters amd nature lovers. We will accept natural sheds, or ones harvested from a deer who is being processed for meat. Let's not let anything go to waste!

And as a personal note- if anyone ends up with too much deer meat for their freezer this season, let us know! We will gladly pay part of the processing fee for part of the meat. We can work out a deal on the whole deer as well, so please let our local trophy hunters know so that no meat is wasted.

I won't lie, some days are rough mentally/emotionally when I feel like nobody sees us. But then I remember that someone I don't even know believes in what we are doing enough to give a portion of their hard earned money to our cause.

Then I see ppl like Cherie Hoke who always give us a like and a share, helping us get our face out there so we can help more dogs, and my heart is warmed.

Good news! Bowie is already starting to feel better after getting his antibiotic ear packs in. He's eating better again, but still not finishing his food. But, I'm happy to see improvements. Especially w him being so skinny as is. We are very thankful to the amazing Bryan Animal Clinic as always.

If anyone decides to go to bryan animal clinic as a new patient, please let us know and we will give you our account info for a referral! Savings for you, and an account credit for us as well! What more could you ask for than helping out a rescue while saving money yourself? You and your furry family member will be treated amazing there!

Well, we had to dip into our emergency savings today. Bowie has an ear infection, though he wasn't acting like it. I knew something was off when he stopped wanting to eat much of his food. So we took him in and the vet said it was definitely a nasty ear infection. We updated his shots while we were there, as they were almost due anyways and I thought it would save us the cost of an extra office visit. So, sweet boy is hopefully going to start feeling a little better now that his ears have been cleaned out and has antibiotics. We will be posting another go fund me soon to help cover the cost of his medical care, as well as the upcoming care for daisy and Sky, as their annual shots are about to be due as well.

I know times are tight for most of us. But we have a few supporters who send us $5-10 a month via PayPal, and that helps out with covering basics. But since losing my job, it's been tough to keep the rescue going. So any donations are absolutely welcome.

Over the next week, I'll be updating our Amazon wishlist to reflect our current needs. It will be pinned at the top of our page where it currently is. We do need 2 new kennels again, as Bowie demolished his before we realized his anxiety was due to rain/storms, and Sky has damaged his as well.

Looking for recommendations on a STRONG kennel for Bowie (great Pyrenees) that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. Needs to be a XXL and able to withstandhis strength. Great Pyrenees were bred to fight with bears and such as livestock guardians, so his initial kennel didn't last long at all. But we would like to have him kennel trained to the point that he seeks out the safety of his kennel during storms, rather than finding ways to squeeze his large frame under beds.

With that being said, we are also looking into getting a baby gate for the hall that bolts into the wall, and is taller than a standard table so that Daisy and one of our personal dogs won't be able to jump over it, and sturdy enough that our mini pig can't demolish it. The hallway we need it to go across is rather narrow for a hallway, at approximately 42 inches wide. Preferably on Amazon, so that we can add it to our wishlist amd save up for it after our immediate needs are taken care of. Any recommendations are absolutely welcome!

So, we mentioned that we might need volunteers for our next adoption event, to walk dogs during the event.

Spare Hands looks like a good option. It's an app created by a local college student, to link college students with customers who need odd jobs done. Thought I'd pass the information along in case anyone needs some help at a reasonable rate.

Remember, dogs need time to feel safe in a new environment. This is one reason we highly encourage doing a foster to adopt style adoption. So that you and the dog can really get to know each other before committing to adoption.
