Taz has made about 5 competition runs. He has done some reining work, some jumping, a little dressage and here he hasn't made a run in 2 months and he comes out and cruises a nice 3D run. His trainability and retention is INCREDIBLE ❤️❤️❤️❤️ oldest son of Bully's Legacy
This is Cream Puff. She is about a 3-4hr old paint. She was part of a very large seizure of animals in south Texas off of an 800 acre ranch. There are a whole herd of horses, but it's mostly been untouched. I am assisting Bluebonnet equine, rescue and rehabbing caring for them and trying to help place them into Foster's and eventually adoptive homes. Most of these horses are nice quarter horse type horses and could really make good mounts. Cream puff and her sister pumpkin spice have really floaty pretty movement and I think could even make some nice English horses. We are looking for some competent horse people that would be interested in helping us take on some of these projects. Send me a message if you want to know more about the foster or adoption process.
A little clearer video showcasing Saylor's super trainable mind, this is only a 10ish rides and the 3rd time out of the round pen and look and how soft she is and wants to listen to what my body is doing. A soft lope, smooth trot and a very natural stop!
Saylor on only her second ride in the big arena
Sassy loved her sprinkler turnout time!
Shorty got to step up to the plate in the little pen and he rocked it! Ground was a bit shifty and we had little to no where to warm up, big loud crowd and a blind 1st barrel. He handled it all like a champ! So proud of this little dude!
Many times I put my first rides on by myself, but when one tends to want to get nervous, a nice, familiar face and feel on the ground can be a good security blanket for them. I'm very thankful for Meagan Blevins's soft demeanor, feel and confidence that she brings to situations to keep these rides going smooth, relaxed and positive. What a nice ride for Saylor ❤️
Some days training is hard. Some days it's extra hard. The heat can make it almost unbearable, but if we always look for the little victories and the little blessings, we can find them readily. The horse gives us a look into our own soul, sometimes that's hard, sometimes it unimaginably beautiful.
I'm thankful this morning for a light breeze, a beautiful sunrise and a magnificent, soft and responsive Grullo filly to get the pleasure of gaining the trust of. Up next, a first ride for this stunning 2yr old. ❤️
Gummy Bear! Searching for his next adventure ❤️#ponyyearling #ponies #poniesofinstagram #ponygelding #ponyproject #poniesoftexas
It's been hot. Record breaking TEXAS hot. His and my allergies have been giving us fits. Yet he still comes out and is as honest as they come in a big pen. His heart is as big as Texas and I sure was proud to run this big powerful athlete in Buffalo's big 4th of July rodeo. We decided for Diggys health in these extreme conditions to leave Leaky and Wimberly off the list this year. He has given me so much in the recent months so It was enough to ask for just one rodeo this weekend. We will enjoy some R&R and family time instead of hitting the road hard. God Bless America where we get to enjoy these amazing freedoms ❤️
THE EPIC SHAWNEE by Epic Leader out of our Bully's Resurrection, daughter of Shawnee Bug Leo!!
Might of been a little off on our timing, and the clock isn't real forgiving, but there still is nothing like hearing the cheering of the crowd in a rodeo performance! And all and all, it still was respectable, we'll dial it all in for the next run. Being aboard this amazing animal is still my happy place 😊

Year #2 at Lexington. Bottom of the ground in a very deep pen after 14 ladies in front of us. A little bogged down and I rated him a titch early on 3, but that deep jump arena we made at home has us FIT and he was not lacking speed. Boggy and a couple bobbles and still within each of the leaders. He is listening so well and running so hard this year, now for my timing to get spot on. We have our sights set on that leader board, gritting our teeth, we are coming in hot!
Thank you to

For the love of all things beautiful, PUT ELECTRICAL TAPE ON THE METAL HOOK OF BUCKETS 😭😥😪😭💔 learn from our mistakes. A piece of my soul died yesterday. Oh Taz 💔
Robin owned by Karen Bigley doing his canter work today. Second day in the big arena and 30 days here. Read his story in the last video posted with his trot work.
This is Robin, owned by Karen Bigley he came to us with the issue that he was able to be saddled and handled on the ground but no matter how they tried with multiple hands and help, they couldn't get on his back. Background, he is 6yrs old, unstarted he had lived in the same place and never left in 5 1/2 yrs. Ya know, how time can get away from us all 🤷♀️ but it was time for Robin to do more than look pretty in the pasture.
This is Robin after 30 days of work here. We focused on groundwork that encouraged suppleness and giving his responsiveness a relaxed purpose. We built trust and worked on understanding his anxieties and fears and used his knowledge of body language to communicate understanding, boundaries and kindness. We used that to give him responses to ques that would give him more confidence as he was mounted and rode. He came along so quickly and his eager desire to please became one of my favorite parts of my work day. Today was his second day in the big arena, and his last day here. I've enjoyed my time with him and I am so proud of all he has accomplished here in such a short time. Great job Robin, it's been a pleasure. Will post his canter work next and you can see a longer video of a groundwork day in a YouTube link below:

Haven't ran a set in 6mo. Worked barrels at home twice last week. Comes out tonight to get a run in, see where we are at before the CPRAs, and he again proves what a work horse he is, little rider error on 3rd, maybe could have ran a titch harder in places, but good enough for a respectable 17.3 and enough to win the little jackpot tonight. What an honest, awesome dude Bullys Legacy is! Gosh Diggy i love every minute I get to be your person ❤️❤️
Thanks to Horse Led Healing for his bodywork
And Animal Ranch Care for his chiropractic
Starting colts under saddle is my ultimate passion. I enjoy the thrill of the competition arena but the quiet, low pressure timeline of groundwork and saddle starting is my favorite. The days where i just build their confidence and listen to their needs. Not push them for their best, not asking for the best in their abilities and test their physical and mental limits. Just let them be young and enjoy life. Enjoy these first days partnering with a person. Make these moment enjoyable, establish confidence in boundaries and reliable expectations, helping them build the confidence that gives them the foundation to one day show their grit. These are the best days. I don't need the world titles. I'm happy watching them go do that with others, i know these are important days, but they think we are just playing around with new skills and just like kids playing matching games who have no idea we are teaching them life skills and building their brains, we can enjoy the simplicity before the bigger pressures of life. This is my heartbeat, and I love my job.
Featuring, Holli, a 3yr old Warmblood who will one day will be a sport horse, but for now, gets to just be a young horse ❤️
