She did it guys!! Christina placed second today at the Houston Groom Texas dog show and grooming competition.

We are beyond proud of her and Lana!!

We will be closed this Friday and Saturday (7/19 & 20) to attend Groom Texas and to support Christina CPG as she competes in her first grooming competition with her schnauzer Lana! Everyone wish them luck!

Regular hours will resume Monday (7/22)

To our wonderful clients about changes happening later this year:

We at Fabulous Fur pride ourselves on our dedication to our core values. These values include compassion for the beloved pets in our care, dedication towards individual and group growth for our staff through education, setting a standard above industry standard in safety, and going above industry standard in certificate requirements for our staff. The grooming industry does not have any educational or licensing requirements, this means groomers are not legally required to have any formal education and training.

While this makes our industry very accessible to people, it means that there is no regulation around safety training, sanitation, or industry education. We want to hold ourselves to a high standard not only for ourselves, but for the well being of all of the pets in our care. This reflects in every part of your pets grooming experience with us including our product choices, the way we handle your pets, the grooming techniques we use, our communication with you, and the quality of our work.

We will be having a few exciting changes coming this later year and we wish to make all of our clients aware.

By the end of 2024, all groomers will have Certified Professional Groomer (CPG) title from International Professional Groomers (IPG). This certification focuses on gentle and compassionate handling, safety with every part of the grooming service, appropriate use of tools, and understanding of canine anatomy, behavior, health, and sanitation.

All groomers will be required to complete two additional certificate courses to show that they are growing their knowledge even further in order to provide a better experience for you and your pets.

We will be working towards providing day boarding for pets who may need to stay with us for the entire day. While we already provide blankets, beds, water, and potty breaks for all pets, we are working towards providing an even more comfortable experience for pets who need to stay for extended times.

With these changes, we will be adjusting our offered services and our pricing to keep up with rising cost of business as well as being able to provide a livable wage for our employees without sacrificing the level of care or quality. These changes will begin rolling out in July 2024. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any questions or concerns.
