Texas Legislature Reconvenes Jan. 14
While some might consider election night to be the end of a long and bruising campaign season, it means things are just getting started in Austin! The 89th session of the Texas Legislature begins on January 14, 2025, and once again issues like scope encroachment, bad changes to telemedicine laws and a range of regulatory bills have potential to impact veterinary medicine for years to come.
Click here to register for TVMA’s Capitol Visitation Day and Advocacy Lab on February 5-6. There, you will learn more about the legislative process and the hot issues of the session before going to speak directly to lawmakers about veterinarians’ legislative priorities.
TVMA has reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, 301 W. 17th Street, for the night of February 5, just a few blocks from the Texas Capitol. To book your room, go to https://group.hiltongardeninn.com/4t3ik3.
